  • Anyone been looking up "street cooking"? I love this shit :D

  • Indian style Chinese food is great! Miss it.

  • he cook fride rice.. i know that...

  • nice cook

  • CHENNAI India

  • were is this

  • Beautiful city. Chennai.

  • I think I see our office in the background...you know...the one that stole all of our jobs from the USA? What a shit hole.

  • Im shure he washed his hands at least once this week.5 minutes before this guy is digging in his ass like a dog with flees then he cooks your food this might put a crimp in your travel plans id stay close to the hotel.

  • @19thSFGA : Please don't come to India. it;s crowded as it is. and don't waste bandwidth and electricity watching you tube videos on the internet. may be watching porn is your thing.

  • @udayk66 please keep your shit hole to yourself you fucking cockroach

  • @19thSFGA . LOL.Tanks for calling me a cockroach. get a girl friend you whatever.:) if you had my shit hole in your face....you,d still not get what is that diarrhea or "ghoneria"? you are funny...

  • the food is yummy n spicy.. i hv had so many times n havent fallen sick.. may b we indians r immune to it.. though tourists frm othr countries r nt advised to try it..

  • All the people who commented on this video and who liked the Chennai Street Food saying it as fascinating, stomach filling, tasty, cheap, blah blah, are you not at all concerned about the hygenie part of it. Do you really think that this food will be safe to eat. Just becoz its tasty and cheap, it cannot be had as good food. Usually these shops will be situated next to Wine Shops so that only the drunkards will eat and whatever these drunkards eat will not harm them. FOREIGNERS - YOU ARE WARNED.

  • I've eaten in these places plenty of times, although i get sick some times..Usually these shops are near wine shops..

  • no tables.......

    why do they need chairs?

  • @ranji888...can you back that up please?...thanks

  • I'm not against Chennai or Tamilnadu, but jus a warning to western country who think chennai is good and not dirty. Here is the latest news. A student who ate food in one of such outlets died with diarrea and 4 other students suffered the same but spared with their life. This is one of numerous similar instances. So people,, don't ever think that Chennai street foods are good and cheap and tasty too. A monster is lurking to strike

  • @rangy8888 : But doesn't cooking the food in high temperature kill all the bacteria and stuff?

  • @modewr u shud not take jus cooking in high temperature. But here these shops use unclean water for washing the plates etc., moreover cooking in high heat kills germs but what about the germs thats in the air and sits on the openly kept cooked food. Noway it is safe my friend.

  • @rangy8888: Ok. I believe you now.

  • wow, they use wok.

  • qtr oldmonk with chilll chiken ayeeeee yaaaa dholl machii

  • You can buy the fried rice for 25 indian rupees; (1 USD = 45 Rupees)

  • Hmm

  • what the f is a dabba?

    dappa!

    LOL!

  • they use wok too...

  • thats true our folk call them 'hotels' and not dhabas.i wonder how many foreigners have found themselves in a dilemma when they were shown a restaurant instead of a 'hotel'.lol i love chennai.

  • I thought Chennai was dirty.

  • Well if youre interested to know, the Chennai Corporation is now doing a good job cleaning up the city. Sanitation has improved and many city parks have sprung up in the last two - three years. the way i look at it chennai would be the third cleanest big city, after new delhi and bengaluru.

  • That is great to hear! I hope someone tells them to make public toilets. That is a big issue to fix.

  • hey anyone remember Dominos in Bluestar, annanagar? They are the ones who first started this road side hotels. We dont call them Daba for sure. Man miss those days when you can just walk out of the house and buy you a full dinner for less than 50 rs and never think about food safety.

  • im missin chennai! I want some chiken 65!

  • Nothing is good as home cooked food. Whether tasty or not. We do not know how hygenic is the food prepared in such places. On seeing the cook, whoa.....

Good to know that some boxer monkeys are not getting sick from intaking these sort of street food.

  • "Anna Chicken rice and Chilli beef"......Man love these shops, 50 bucks for a meal that fills your stomach and is as tasty as hell.

  • I miss Chennai too. Always home sweet home.

  • The high heat does wonders to the dish. One of the reasons why home made fried rice or whatever never tastes quite like what these guys make.

  • another thing, these high heat i think makes the food more safe to eat, i never got sick from eating street foods in chennai

i seen your cooking before too, i made the chicken chettinad from your recipe, loved it

  • Miss these fried rice.. chilly beef and chiken 65's.. Eatin tasteless so called chinese fried rices and kentuky fried (dried) chicken

  • Interesante video

  • I was in Chennai, but missed out on the street food. Wish to go back soon.

  • miss our chennai and fastfoods in chennai.....

  • Dude, I'm from Chennai. I now live in the USA. I miss eating in these restaurants (or whatever you call them).

  • lol,we dont cal them Restaurants..

you can call them "dhaba " :D

    or "lariwala "

or the best "chacha ki dukaan" lol

  • In Tamil Nadu-where Chennai is, they call them hotels, not dhabas I'm pretty sure.

  • Wait, no. I think the proper word for restaurant in Tamil is unnavagam.

  • i ate like to eat in fastfood its very tasty, but we can easily get disease!!!

  • what ever happend to this full version of this video i so enjoyed it!

  • The video is not available.

but ive been there for five years. quite interesting in their expertise in tossing the stuffs. dont be bewildered, but you can often swallow some sweats and roasted mosquitoes!

  • N still love it...believe me.

  • I have never been to Chennai but may have to in the future for my job. I found this while looking for info about the city. Seems interesting.

  • summa thukkuthu illa ...!

  • Haha, you guys can say what you want, and a lot of it is probably true, but the fact is that if you're born in Chennai, then it's a lifestyle that's absolutely fantastic.

Sure there's a lot of dirty people, and mindsets, but I'm currently studying in Melbourne, and I can assure you that there are about the same number of people in percentage around here that are far more feral than any place in Chennai.

Not to mention that Chennai is a fantastically safe place compared to any western metro....

  • Madras looks a fascinating place, it really does. I'm British, born in Birmingham, and I've been to India a couple of times now. Yes it's very different to the West, yes it's a real culture shock to Western people, but my god what a culture. India has such a culture that is both fascinating and great. Most of the people are friendly and great to talk to. Most people on here knock India down before they have even tried it.

  • @Bellocks1 Most people knock India down only to make themselves look better...India is a tough competition in any concievable field...the only way to look better than India is to foulmouth India.

  • no injustices comitted by police and politicians in india on innocent boils my blood and i can't help even if i wish . ppl need to wake up ... cursing america won't help ... even we should not curse india here . instead focus our energy elsewhere..

  • stupid indians instead of attacking foreign nation go after your corrupt system in india ! corrup politicians/police r ruling u!!

  • DARE4444:

Oh I see! And you have the most equitable political system in the U.S? Being the pot that you are, stop calling the kettle black!

  • Dude.. Europe was stinking and your grand daddy(I dont think he ever took a shower) went to find a place across the seas to take a leak, in the process he murdered millions of innocent native americans, made happy people of many lands as slaves, stole land and things that belonged to other people, I dont think you are that clean...India was so rich you have no idea. It will always be rich and you will have no idea. Get an education.

  • A walk in any of the residential localities in Chennai could well be like participating in an obstacle race because you have to step over piles of stinking garbage, plastic bags (and lots of them at that) flying in the morning breeze as street corners turn into a rag picker's paradise.

  • even i have seen ppl eatin in trains...buses....roads... here in EU...

the fact is if u guys r scard of india...

so want to say such stupid words...

dnt worry...ur words wont affect us...

moon light will never affect the sun light...

  • PODI VENNAI, fu*ck off bitch. Stay in canada or wherever. Dont ever come back to India or to my city Chennai. No one cares for your lonely planet city guide. They are poor people trying to live their life earning what they can. India is way richer in many things. All your wealth and life in the west can never compare to the joy of life in India or chennai. Open your heart bitch. Chennai or Madras is a beautiful city.

  • even u guys do that...every friday nights n saturday nights...wen u get drunk...u doo all the nasty stuffs than us...

we r juz wasing hand...u ppl used to puke on roads...if u get in to any subways it juz stinks... when u guys do it..ur scard whether the police will penalise u...i do kw abt you guys...so....better mind ur words...u racist...

  • man.. i miss that food i used to have on the streets during my college days .. cant get that kinda food anywher in the world !!

  • hahaa.. thats our man cookin fried rice.. thats street cookin .. the food tastes so good. it costs about 25 rupees. to give u an idea . 1 USD = 45 rupees.

  • dude he's fast, like a magic trick with that ladle!

  • lol...wtf was that..is that cookin ??

  • yepp.. thats how they cook fried rice on the road sides in chennai ( south india ) .. the food tastes pretty good. costs about 75 cents ( USD ) and 2 ppl can eat one plate !! h

  • mad skills, indeed

  • that cook has some mad skills. is that muttai parota ?

  • I think it is Indianised Chinese food (fired rice or noodles or something like that) that is commonly available in food outlets like that one.
