I have been watching the hitherto futile fight for universal health care for four decades! In the 60's the American Medical Assoc. repeatedly defeated anything that came close, calling it "socialized medicine." They were protecting their incomes at the cost of their patients' lives. Well, they've paid the price: insurance companies came in and took a huge slice of their incomes and autonomy and saddled them with paperwork and longer hours. Finally, our time has come!
