@ChocoboDreams if you mean by cards type , i have the old R4 DS which still working with programs like Moonshell, but then after that i bought R4 HC since i needed more Gigs on my miniSD , old R4 DS didn't supports anything over 4gigs back then (or 2gigs can't remembered) - -'', so i use the R4 HC with 8gigs mini SD, then after that... i wanted to play GBA games on the DSlite so i bought a DSTWO since is the only thing GBA games XD , i don't know,but the latest is R4 3DS which works all(not gba)

First you have to buy an R4 card, micro sd, and a micro sd reader. Most come in a bundle and are inexpensive. You can only by these carts online or anywhere unofficial(becus theyre controversial, seen as piracy) Then, you go to the R4DS site and download the kernel(software to run the R4) and extract them into the micro SD(fitted into the SD reader thats connected to your PC via USB) and create a 'Games' folder. Then insert the micro SD into the R4 and R4 to slot-1 and it should start.

Look up tutorial videos on how/where to download Roms and Emulators(specificaly for the DS or DSLite), there alot helpful videos thank god. If youve downloaded Roms to your computer before, it shouldn't be a problem. After you got ur game(and extraced it), open the Micro SD on ur computer and just drag n' drop ur games, music, movies to their specified area. You can also get skins and themes, keep lookin here on youtube for help, theres alota expert vidoes and step by step stuf.
