  • I had my hair dyed in december and really want to try henna, like pure lawsonia inermis, and was wondering if it would turn my hair a weird colour like you said in henna head!! please help me!!!

  • @flower9366 It will look like faint red higlights but in the sunlight it's totally auburn. My hair was the same colour as your before.

  • What was the song?

  • you really Really need to get a cut

  • i have dark dark brown hair...you could say black ....i want it to be light brown or a dark brown that is noticeable??/ what shlould i do ?

  • @loepsie will the henna clog the drain?

  • You could be the daughter of mr. bean and mila kunis. but you're gorgeous!

  • you look like you were having a very good day when you filmed this ^^ or maybe u were just excited about the hair, or both, whichever though its really nice and it kind of made me happy, your light and bubbly attitude. Felt like there was no weight whatsoever, only like light, as a feather. It kind of gave me a little hope...*drifts*.. thank you <3

  • Hey, my name is Henna :)

  • what was ur original hair color??

  • @Freybo13 I dyed my hair for the first time with henna last week, and yeah, it really smells like.. well I can't describe exactly, but I thought it smells like the sea XD And maybe you think the sea smells really nice or something (I don't know ofcourse :p ) but henna smells bad, really really bad XD But after a couple of days the smell was gone :D

  • u r soo pretty! and funny :D

  • u look stunning xxxxxx

  • Cling Film :) (for UK anyway...)

  • the plastic thing is called cling film lol Xx lovely hair btw x

  • Is it true that henna smells bad? :P

  • @Freybo13 nope :P :) it doens't smell particularly good but not particularly bad either :)) and the smell doesn't linger btw so u don't have to worry about that x))

  • Lemon juice is a natural hair lightener so it normal

  • where did you get your henna

  • cling film!

  • seram wrap!!!

  • @lilpink753 seran wrap, not seram

  • Plastic Wrap!

  • "Try to open it up... agh! Woah.... Expolosion!" LOL 8D

  • Try Saran Wrap or Plastic Wrap

  • Could you post a video about lightening your hair with hydrogen peroxide? I've been looking to try that but wouldn't know how to do it

  • You're so pretty! And you look great with the red. :) Also, I love your accent. Where are you from?

  • It looks like mud

  • /wiki/Saran_(plastic)

  • i'm from the middle east and my grandmother's recipe is to add hot black tea instead of just boiling water, a spoon of yogurt, lemon drops and a spoon of pure cocoa powder. then let it soak overnight this way the ingredients will work better together and the texture will be easier to apply. so in the morning when you apply it you just want to leave it for 1-3 hours maximum then wash it with water only not shampoo, then put oil in your hair leave it for few hours then wash it with shampoo :)

  • I don't know if anyone adressed this before, but it's normal for henna to change color, and it actually has to be left to change color a bit before putting it in your hair...

  • Ur dutch ? (: Because u have the accent just like when dutch people talk english [':

  • you look like mr bean but you are very pretty!

  • Waar heb jij de henna gekocht?

  • Thats Cling Wrap.

  • the lemon juice is probably what did it, to be honest people apply lemon juice to increase and lighten their highlights so, yeah probably that

  • Looks lovely ! :)

  • I have a question about the ingredients, I have read that some people complain about the ingredients not being safe or good for the hair. Could you post the ingredients info for this henna, since I live in the US and can only purchase this brand through ebay or international sites. Thanks!

  • @LilithM09 There are LUSH stores in US that sell henna named caca rouge

  • What a minute!!

Ghandi The Musical?? When did that happen??

  • Comment removed

  • omg it turned out amazing. i havent dyed my hair in almost 3 years but i might consider this.

  • the reason that it was darker was because you used an iron bowl :) i read that somewhere.

  • what does the lemon juice do? does it make is lighter? or more red?

  • @diana97ish citric acid kinda makes it more stronger..the colour I guess, you can use vinegar too! anything souuuuur.:3

  • Were can I buy Henna? I love how the color turned out! :)

  • @7624ns you can find great henna dyes on ebay! also try using henna tattoo cones, tried it in school:)

  • Were can I buy Henna? I how the color turned out! :)

  • Thanks for the advise:) I been using natural henna but it didn't color my hair reddish at all. I was watching Loepsie's tutorial so I can achieve the same colour as hers. I'm guessing she chosen Henne in copper because her natural hair color is brown.

  • @jfernan0307 the henna is only one color I think you should purches it like in a store where they sel herbs and natural stuff. If u get a henna that has other ingridient ur hair will be damage

  • I found the product you used in Amazon.com. I'm confused about which color to purchase. In your video, I paused and saw copper on the box. Isn't copper a golden tone color? My hair is black and I want it reddish like yours in this video. Please advise, thanks!!

  • Yes, adding lemon will make henna darken and be less orange after the color fully develops (around 48 hours later). Also, henna plants have more or less dye in them depending on where they are grown and how hot the weather is there. (More heat = darker red staining henna leaf). Henna is kind of like grapes -- one grape grown in france will make different tasting wine than the same grape grown in Mexico. Mehandi.com sells hennas that are tested for dye content so you can get the right one.

  • What can I do to get the darkest brown possible?

  • @mandaromi Use henna for 2-4 hours, wash it out, then apply indigo for 45-60 minutes. This will make very dark espresso brown/black. If you want lighter brown, mix 50% henna + 50% indigo. Be careful though, it will NOT come out, even with super-bleaching. Make sure you want to keep it until it gets cut off. :)

  • @MsClockworkrabbit thank youu!!

  • Love the color of your hair!

  • you are the cutest thing ever haha I just ordered henna and will be trying it this week!! eek!!

  • haha the music went perfectly with the "explosion." I laughed. You always have humor in your videos and I think it's awesome.

  • Looks like a mess and too difficult.

  • im sorry i am asking but why did u put the lemon juice i mean wut will it do will it change the contrast or something im asking cuz i didnt understand wut u said

  • @Sonybo100 she feels like it activates the dye better, i'm assuming as in giving it a richer color

  • @Sonybo100 She said the lemon juice activates the pigments in the henna.

  • @Sonybo100 the acid in the lemon juice helps the henna work.

  • @Sonybo100

from what ivee heard, lemon juice lightens your hair color. lol idk i might be wrong though

  • @Sonybo100 For henna, lemon juice acts like a "developer" and opens the hair cuticle (using the acids in the lemon) in order to deposit the orange/red stain in the hair. It makes the dye more permanent and lets it impart a darker stain.

  • i have the same henna as yours! i'm gonna die my hair tonight :p

  • Your hair turned out darker than the first time because henna causes build-up, every time you henna the colour will be darker and darker. It's not because the lemon juice. Henna is a permanent dye, and it darkens with each application. That's very important. I learned this at LHC, but only after being naïve and going for a darker red the first time I henna'ed, instead of the copper I was really after. I think lemon juice only accelerates the dying process, it doesn't create any colour changes.

  • What would happen if you didn't add any lemon juice, I mean if you added only water to the henna powder, would the color be darker?

My hair color is dark brown (almost black) and I want to have a red shine in my hair but I don't want it to turn RED because it wouldn't look good on me at all so should I skip the lemon part??

  • @maya25891 If your hair is very dark, you won't get a lot lot of red, so don't worry. You can't go lighter with henna, it only adds red highlights to your natural hair-colour. So in your case I think it will give you the red shine you're after. I don't think lemon juice has got anything to do with lightening the henna dye, I think it only accelerates the dyeing process.

  • @SwordwomanRiona99 Thank you very much :)

  • @maya25891 You're welcome :)

  • And, btw, henna does change colour (from green to brownish red). That means the dye is being released. LHC usually recommends letting the mix sit for a few hours until it has turned brown and the dye has been released, the results are supposed to be better that way. I skipped that particular part the two times I henna'ed, though, I read that too late :). I would also recommend using a non-metalic bowl to mix your henna, because metal can react with henna. *Ah, the hair nerd speaking :)*.

  • You are so cute :-)

  • You look like mr bean... But it's alright because he's awesome :D

  • @nata11ia ahhaha i was thinking the same thing, then i scrolled down and i saw your comment hahahahahhah

  • @nata11ia LOL I LOVEYOUUU!!♥

  • @nata11ia Except she's prettier, of course. ^_^

  • @nata11ia that was exactly the same what i would reacted, okay my englisch is realy realy bad so I hope you understand :p

  • @nata11ia OMG!!! i was thinking the sameee

  • We can it 'saran wrap'. Great video!

  • You're so precious lol I could watch your videos all day long. In America, many people call that plastic wrap "saran wrap" (sir-ann), glad wrap, or just kitchen wrap or cling wrap. Your hair was lighter the first time because you used more lemon juice. It acts like a gentle bleach. Thanks for the great vids. Keep up the great work. You're adorable.

  • We call it glad-wrap in Australia :)

  • And it does change colors a little bit when it's ready :D

  • You're so cute and funny X3. But I like to make my own henna paste for tattoos and the lemon juice really does help with the dye stain. Most Mehndi artists will tell you it's needed. At least, an acid of some sort that's safe for the skin :3. But you really did get a beautiful color for your hair! It looks amazing!

  • I love your "doomed"! comment - made me laugh :)

thanks for the tutorial, looking forward to trying it out now!

  • haha, you're sooo funny! and this video helped me alot!

    tnx!!:D

  • haha i know plastic kitchen wrap as cling film

  • plastic wrap

  • Can you do a room tour? Thanks! Love your videos!

  • iWanted to make my hair LIGHTER using Henna, so whaat do iDo, ? :O , LOL,

  • You look amazing in this hair colour ;) i'm also using this metod to dye my hair ;) and its great ;) ps: i'm using khadi henna.

  • Beautiful color, I guess I'm going to try out your recipe tomorrow! :D

  • hi! u have amazing hair and i want long hair too, but where did u get ur henna from? :)

  • its clingfilm in the UK

  • Comment removed

  • Does the color wash out or fade over time? Cause the liquid dye I usually use washes out really quickly, so I have to dye it really often or the color will fade out.

  • Does henna do the same thing to blonde or dirty blonde hair?

  • Its saraen wrap

  • its beautiful..!! it is kinda gingery...which is beautiful..i luv it!! im gonna do mine too

  • @Loepsie 5:49 call it seran wrap

  • Ooh, I love this color I can't wait to try it! Thanks for posting this vid ;)

  • I almost used henna once, but at the end I didn't do it because I read that it makes hair go very dry and it destroys curls. I have naturally curly hair and I love it, but curly hair tends to be dry, and mine is not an exception. I'd love to use henna, but I'm scared! What do you think?

  • Hey I loved u from the 1st vid I've seen of urs, u're super cute & pretty, I actually intend to use henna but not sure if it'll have same effect on my hair cuz it's black anyways ur hair looks really nice in this video but I've couple of qsts which I really hope u'd answer, did you wash out henna with just water? also what kinda hair products do u use (i.e. shampoo, conditioner..) sorry if u mentioned this earlier somewhere as I'm new to your channel & still browsing around! thank u so much! <3

  • The more you henna your hair, the deeper and darker the color will be ^_^

  • I have a question. I went on amazon.com and I searched the henna that you got and Henne Color sells colors like auburn, brown, black, mahogany, copper. On your all you need to know about henna video, you said that brands that sell different colors of henna aren't real "henna", so I'm very confused of what kind of henna you bought. Please help! Thanks

  • Its called clingfilm! xD haha i love ur videos! :):)

  • great hair color! when i do mine, the color is brighter but it's possibly cos my natural haircoloror is dark blond. do you think i should mix red with black henna or something to get your color?

Oh, and what's that song? I loved it! :)

    thanx!

  • i hennad my hair in december and then did my entire head again in may or april. I wanted to henna it again but im not sure if i should do a root touch up or the entire head. what do you think?

  • Gorgeous results! May give it a go someday. By the way, in the UK we call it cling film... :P

  • i lol'd @ 3:36

  • I call it "plastic wrap" :) Some people call it "saran wrap" because that's a popular brand of plastic wrap.

    I love your videos!!

  • @XBlueFireflyX I got the same henna she used in this video online(amazon). It was five dollars (more like 11 total with shipping and handling), and it took about three days to arrive. I dyed it today and it worked!

  • Just so you know that if you keep doing full henna dye (instead of roots only) your hair will turn a deeper dark burgundy. My hair did and I had to lighten a tad. No I do henna root touch ups only. Also don't use too much lemon juice, it's bad for your hair because it will dry it out. I don't even use lemon juice anymore. I just use plain water. Dyes my hair the same.

  • i wanna dye my hair with henna. where can i find it? :D

  • Mua haha hah ha ha!! Haha that was funny at the end!!  keep doing ur amazing videos!!!!

  • Oh also! I think I read online that henna makes your hair lighter when you use water (or more water than lemon juice) but it fades faster, and if you use all lemon juice it stays better? I used all lemon juice, made it the night before and let it cure for 24 hours in a warm place. My hair is either your shade or a bit darker, it came out really vivid and bright copper in the sun (in case you ever want it brighter)

  • I love that henna! I used it when I was living in Holland and it made my hair so pretty! I used a shade darker than you but it was still pretty bright. I wish I could find it in the Unites States now that I am back :(

  • Comment removed

  • the next time, put little of vigenar (white or apple, it dosent matter) and the water should be bowled with red tea, and wait it to cold for 24h, then put it into your hear, THE COLOR WILL BE VIVID, trust me, by experience

and the color is always "darker" at the beginning of the second time, and it will be lighter :)

LOVE HENNA and your videos <3<3

  • Great video. But you shouldn't use metal container for mixing henna. Henna + metal can give some chemical reaction. It is recommended to use plastic , wood or china for mixing henna.

  • Cling Wrap! :P

  • awesome tutorial! My hair is dark brown and I didn't want it to get TOO red, so I added some powdered Turkish coffee, it keeps my hair more on the brown side as opposed to bright red.

  • Awesome! Duz this work on black hair? N Duz henna promote hair growth n get rid of frizzy hair? Thanx. Ur hair look gorgeous btw. !

  • @emmyandshane10 yes, you can buy henna in america. You can usually get it at a pro beauty supply store but not small places like sallys or cvs, and sometimes you can get it at the supermarket

  • Omg the music stopping with the explosion was perfect

  • omg, je weet toch wel dat je geen metaal/ijzer mag gebruiken met henna, anders word het groen!

  • I LOVE YOU! your hair is beautiful! were are you from? and were can u buy henna in america?

  • @emmyandshane10 You can usually buy pure henna from arabic/halal/middle eastern stores. In NJ we have a store called Fatal's and Nouri's. Make sure on the label it only has henna as the ingredient. Hope that helps :)

  • I've been following you on my old channel for I don't know how long. Probably since you had like 5 videos up, and I just wanted to finally leave a comment and tell you how completely awesome you are! I had a bad day today, and watching this instantly made my day so much brighter! Thank you :3 <3 Cheers from Sweden!

  • Oh my gosh the henna looks so beautiful on you!!! your hair looks so soft and silky!! but then again, it has always looked like that! :-D

I have one quick question though, does the lemon juice make the red brighter or darker? thanks!!

  • I'm having trouble finding a pack online that only has Lawsonia Inermis. Can you please help me with a link of one I can buy online that will ship to the USA? I would very much appreciate it! I absolutely love all of your videos and have even subscribed to Eco Emi thanks to you :)

  • I'm having trouble finding a pack online that only hasLawsonia Inermis. Can you please help me with a link of one I can buy online that will ship to the USA? I would very much appreciate it! I absolutely love all of your videos and have even subscribed to Eco Emi thanks to you :)

  • thank you that us very helpful

  • In the US we call it cellophane, if you like. Also plastic wrap. :) Whatever you like, it all works.

  • the plastic kitchen wrap is called like that! but in the UK its also called cling film ;)

  • thanks for the vid! :D I think I'll use less lemon juice as well next time. Do you think I can use the same henna I bought months ago? Some people say you need to store pure lawsonia inermis in the fridge/freezer and I didn't ..

  • the ''plastic kitchen wrap'' you speak of is called cling film. LOL :) xo

  • Hi Loepsie. I have found that if I make the henna mix a little runnier, it doesn't clump up and fall out. It also distributes more evenly when it's a bit runnier. Not too runny though or it will drip down your neck (I've been there).

Also, like you said, the henna won't lighten your hair, just throws some red on top of what you've already got. My hair is light brown, but the henna makes it dark red, which I like. Great vid! :)

  • Comment removed

  • can this work with hair that is already dyed like a brown will it make it lighter?

  • when will u post curly hair tut?

  • The color is so gorgeous! It looks great on you! :)

  • Loepsie! I've been enjoying your vids for some time! Can't believe you are hennaing!

  • @FeloniousAngel People need to let go of this idea that "ginger" is a derogatory, slang term. It's also a color, the color of naturally red hair. What's wrong with wanting to dye your hair ginger, anyway?

  • @genalewis It's not that ginger is derogatory, it's that I disapprove of dye-jobs. And yes, there's plenty wrong with wanting to dye your hair a "natural" shade of red - but I doubt you'll be receptive to my personal reasons.

  • @FeloniousAngel I'm curious to hear your reasons. I've never encountered someone who felt so strongly about the issue of hair dye.

  • @FeloniousAngel I'm very sorry if I offended you in any way, but I am curious to know why, would you mind to explain? If you don't want to do it publicly you can send me a PM but I'd like to know because I have to admit I don't know if there's an emotional load to the word ginger (you know I'm not a native speaker so I'm not sure about things like that) or is it just purely personal? I'd like to know anyway =)

  • @FeloniousAngel im very curious as to why you think this way? here in america the term ginger isnt derrogatory in any form,

  • @FeloniousAngel You are just talking ridiculousness.

  • It turned out so beautifully! Ive been thinking about dying my hair with henna too, but i have several chemical dyes in it already, so im afraid that might be a problem. Do you think i can still do it?

  • the thing kitchen wrap is called celephane and a little advice is for the falling clumps of henne you can use news paper or something to cover it up you might know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME VIDEO

  • Your hair looks amazing! And since you mentioned that your hair shines bright red in the sun, can you show us what it looks like outside? :D

  • In America its called Saran Wrap :) LOL!

  • Your hair is so shiny! It's beautiful! I'm dying my hair with henna for about 8 months now, and I always wanted to try the Henné Color thing you are using here, because I buy my henna from my 'nature' hairdresser. I am definitely going to try this! Thanks!

  • the mixture looks gross. lol

  • It's so pretty! :D

  • it looks really natural and pretty!

  • Why are you stirring with a chopstick? LOL that cracked me up!

  • Hi! I have a question for you, does henna cover grey hair? and if not, I'm curious to know, if you get gray hair in the future will you do something about it or will you go natural? I LOVE you channel, it'd be great to see more make up related videos. Eva :)

  • @TheCatnamedcat It does, it will turn grey hair bright orange =) I plan to go natural when I go gray, unless I start getting grey hairs at 30 or something =) Or if it turns a really nast grey I might bleach it to white, lol xD It won't matter anymore by then =P

  • baby you are so pretty thats all i know from venezuela i like you.. te mando un beso

  • @TheCatnamedcat If you have grey hair you can use henna and it will cover your grey hair.It all depends what you mix it with. You need to mix it with prepared hot black tea and a bit of coffee. Also I put a bit of apple-cider vinegar, and your gray hair will be auburn not orange. I really love henna, but sometimes you have to play with it when u mix it so that the color you get is the desired one.It is a good idea to test some hair from your brush to check the desired color.
