@rockroll991@rockroll991 masterchief isn't john forge and visa versa. halo reach wasn't the first covenant attack, harvest was first attacked by the covenant, as that's where the first contact was made.
ONI appearanty didn't notice the covenant were going to reach, as the covenant found forerunner relics on reach too.

This is before that, this is before Halo 1 where the Elites were a part of the Covenant. Elites were the UNSC's enemies untill the end of Halo 2.
