One of the many many things that makes Muse awesome, unique, and who they are is that they can go from a song on an album like Supermassive Black Hole or Hysteria and then go to something like Unintended or the Exogenesis Symphonies. I'll start off by saying, amazing song!

2:32 - 2:43 Matt makes it look so effortless.. but after that he starts to get off key. I just saw Muse live a few weeks ago and it was the most flawless 2 hours of my life, shows how much he worked on keeping his vocals under control since 2000. (Still an amazing performance, Go Muse... and I like the fro Chris XD)

Supermassive black hole is easy. The Groove is slightly challenging but doable in the Verse bits, chorus is easy. Unnatural Selection in the verse takes a bit of practice but then is easy. Any song can be done with enough practice

matt has gaffa taped and pot wired effects in his guitar, its not just for show although it does look pretty cool. its pretty genious actually, and has a fuzz factory some sort of theremin in there, taped on. this is like an old school version of the manson that he has now with all the built in effects

Hes using a double cut gibson les paul... with a limited edition marshall DSL100 stack. I dont really call that beginner material. and the drummers gear is probably around the £2500 mark.

tbh, the guitar sound quality is probably to do with the fact they were the first act on stage this day of the festival, and first bands get the least time to soundcheck, least versitility with the stage and settings, etc. it's bad enough at festivals in general anyway tbh.
