What ever happended to that clip from the Sid Ceasar show where he was a novice cameraman and had to take over when the experienced camerman didn't show up? It is fantastic.....
I saw the Great Dictator for the first time yesterday, and although I always loved this routine, have to acknowledge, Caesar was immitating Charlie Chaplin.
Sid Caesar had one of the best writers you could ever find they are Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Larry Gelbart, Danny Simon, Neil Simon, Mel Tolken, Sheldon Keller. The best damn writers you'll ever find.

Great humor! Classic stuff you do not see in this day! Bring this style back in 2011!

Sid Caesar was a comedian par excellence! NONE of today's smut-slingers can hold a candle to his comic stylings.

I remember every Saturday night, it was the Show of Shows. I believe the show was an hour and half long. Every week. Live.

Is Sid Ceaser the one with the medals?
mikeyboy86 3 years ago 3
Yes. Howard Morris is the other one.
Morris played Ernest T. Bass on The Andy Griffith Show.
