I also really want a answer for this. i want this but i hear it "might" kill your tone. in this case i hear you should just get a me-50. so right now im tring to figure out what is better, me-50 for cheap, or me-70 for full price since its newer. anyone know what i should get?

Well, I don't really know about the me-50. I guess it just has fewer effects... But the me-70 can be very confusing; it requires lots of reading from the manual... But if you're looking for a basic effects pedal then I'd say hit up the me-50.. The 70 doesn't mess up the tone.. i think my guitar was a little out of tune! lol... but the me-70 has kick ass effects! you feel like your in a rock concert when you're using it.. but anyways... good luck finding your right choice!

Ah thanks man! yeah im 95% sure im going to get the ME 70 next month. i just hope it sounds good on my Line 6 120w Spider III. i played a gig a few days ago and i had to use some crappy pedals that gave me a real crunchy sound and not the "burn a whole in your face" metal sound i needed. i hope this can do the job, but even if it doesnt have the best DS ill be happy with the rest of the effects. im the type of guy who likes random silly effects for fun :D cant wait! again thanks.

i did get it. and Line 6 distortion is better then the distortion you can get from the ME-70. but the distortion was still better then what i expected from a multi effect. other then that the me 70 is everything i wanted. it was a perfect gift for my birthday :] the effects and compression and delay settings all blew away any sound you get with a spider III. in short, it was totaly worth my money and will do fine unless your a pro guitarist that needs the perfect sound. to me its perfect asit is

oh i finally realized its not true bypass so it has to go on the preamp(pluggin the guitar input to the pedal and plugging the pedals output to the amp.
