Also, he rushed into the base because TLO KNOWS Spanshwa is going to be cooking up banelings, so he wanted to get into the main to disrupt any production.

Pure marines was done a lot on the ladder since the beta. I got very old replays with the strat and it usually wins. Surprising how long it took to see it on the high level again.

@IronLikeALionZion false... while it is true Spanishiwa has just recently exploded in popularity he is actually very predictable as far as builds go, seeing as he is famous for his no-gas no lings opener which he goes probably %80 of the time. TLO while having been around a long time is extremely hard to predict.. hell its hard to keep track of what race he is playing.
@IronLikeALionZion Right... it's probably easier to exploit Spanishiwa than it is TLO by knowing others build and style perspective and Spanishiwa is looked up by all pro players at this point so it's not that unknown. Though I would agree that (and it's my opinion) Spanishiwa is way more used to his style than opponents are to play against it.

@rtsJaxo I don't think he's really bad at it, its just his strength is micro and spanishiwa's is macro. In fact spanishiwa's macro has looked so good recently it seems you have to beat him in under 10 mins or you won't beat him at all. Having said that it'd be great to see what Idra can do against him.

@b1g0ppa notice that the games that Soanishiwa won were mostly long macro games where he's practically unstoppable. I personally think that TLO is a better player when it comes to the early game but Spanishiwa is good enough to hold on pretty well to make the games last to the late stage where he PWNS but in the last game (i think he thought "hey i can take a risk b/c ive already won, and got punished for it and in this game that 6 racks is surprisingly affective if their not ready for 6 racks

"tahy-fon" is what's shown on dictionary (dot) com, for example (alternately, check howjsay (dot) com (slash) index (dot) php?word=typhon or just go with tī'fŏn', cited from (dot) answers (dot) com (slash) topic (slash) typhon).
Blasted Youtube and its disallowing of links... though I guess it prevents certain forms of link spamming.

@rtsJaxo I don't think he's really bad at it, its just his strength is micro and spanishiwa's is macro. In fact spanishiwa's macro has looked so good recently it seems you have to beat him in under 10 mins or you won't beat him at all. Having said that it'd be great to see what Idra can do against him.

@b1g0ppa notice that the games that Soanishiwa won were mostly long macro games where he's practically unstoppable. I personally think that TLO is a better player when it comes to the early game but Spanishiwa is good enough to hold on pretty well to make the games last to the late stage where he PWNS but in the last game (i think he thought "hey i can take a risk b/c ive already won, and got punished for it and in this game that 6 racks is surprisingly affective if their not ready for 6 racks
