  • Q: What would Jesus do?

    A: Occupy Wall Street.

  • blalbab blablaba bal and my ego is bigger then yours . blabalabalabababalab!

  • As an atheist I can confidently say that I love this song.

  • Final comment, Merle Haggard is an incredibly talented, warm, loving man who very likely has had his own trials and tribulations. He delivers this song with all of his heart, soul and mind as he did with so many of his wonderful songs. He doesn't sing songs about doing it his way, he sang songs about doing the right thing and the consequences of failing that responsibility. He survived celebrity as a humble man with enormous talent. "no one could teach me right"? Someone, damn sure did.

  • Several of the Apostles/Disciples were wealthy land owners, who sold properties to help finance their travels. "To give in abundance, one must have in abundance." Giving in abundance, is certainly not a sin. Giving is a commendable act. Self Interest pitted against Self Interest in a Free Market generates abundance. Conversely, that same Self Interest in a Controlled Market Economy (Socialism/Communism) guarantees scarcity, shortages. Natural Laws are God's Laws/rules, do the "right thing".

  • Easter Sunday was a Pagan/Satanic day of tribute, entailing dying eggs in the blood of 2 month old infants. Constantine, ordered the crumbling Roman Empire to convert to Christianity, yet images of Mithra/Satanic minted on Roman coins 20 yrs after that decree? Ordering an Empire to convert to Christianity. Ordering Christianity? The very act of Government imposing their will as God's Will is pure EVIL. Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, God & Savior is the only Way. "I AM the Way, the Truth and.."

  • As goes Capitalism so goes Freedom, Liberty & Justice For All. One Nation Under God for a damn good reason. Laws subject to the Truth, Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth so Help us God. Government giving a right, doesn't make it right. First Commandment, ... THOU SHALT NOT HAVE OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. GOVERNMENT HAS NO CONSCIENCE AND DAMN SURE IS NOT GOD. Fourth commandment, only one that specifically reminds, Remember to keep Holy the Sabbath. Saturday is the Sabbath, not Sun Worship Sunday.

  • @waketheoblivious Capitalism is an economic system and has nothing to do with "Freedom, Liberty & Justice For All." Nazi Germany's economic system was capitalist as is Saudi Arabia's today. Neither is a poster child for "Freedom, Liberty & Justice." Your babbling is just proving to everyone how ignorant you really are. It is also giving everyone a headache! lol

  • @3aCCCP

Failure to understand basic Economics is nothing to be ashamed of. Denying scientifically proven Classical Economic Theory from a stand point of absolute ignorance is insane.

  • Self Interest is NOT, greed and is NOT, selfish. Each have entirely different definitions, Self Interest, Greed & Selfish do not share the same definition in any dictionary, because they are completely different words. Self interest, motivates drinking water instead of shriveling like a raisin in the sun. Self Interest, dictates the choices of ALL LIVING THINGS, it's why a blade of grass seeks sunlight. Humans have Free Will, we satisfy self interest, subject to ours vrs His Will, choose wisely

  • The incredible ignorance that now permeates humanity is this ridiculous notion that the State/Government should be put into greater position of authority. THINK! A GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE A CONSCIENCE! The result is a degree of evil that equates to the most perverted Psychopathic Serial Killer to have ever roamed the planet. Capitalism works perfectly unless there is Government interference. Be very aware, "Government is a necessary EVIL" - Churchill That statement is absolute FACT.

  • Greatest deception that exists happens because Deception & Corruption combine to form mental kryptonite. Reasonably intelligent people, are easily diverted to argue liberal/conservative, democrat/republican, capitalism/socialism allowing Corruption to flourish. Adam Smith, proved over 250+ years ago the only combination that can produce abundance is Free Market/Capitalism, all other combinations of Controlled Markets (Socialism/Communism) are theoretically doomed to scarcity & shortages.

  • Can anyone else give me the mediafire link mp3 high quality of this full song ? i searched google so much but i can't find the source to download free it, plz pm me, thanks so much !!

  • Merle sings Woody Guthrie.....:-)

  • This is the spirit!

  • So Why Aint Hag gave all his money away?

  • @mrdewgood It wouldn't be very responsible for any person to actually "give all" their money way... Woult it? I guess some people just have a problem putting things into context, and you happen to fall into that catagory.

Merle has given a lot to charity. There have also been several periods in his life where he's had financial issues, and he still lives modestly today.

It's foolish to expect anyone to be totally penniless. People who have no money at all are only a burden on others

  • poewer to the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only thing the rich are afraid of and they cannot take away is yout voting rights!!!!!!! thats the only thing that can "change" things . you have to vote!! or register as soon as you turn 18.

  • i wish they sung that in my parish.

  • @norimmel Me too.....

  • we'll see

  • Dedicated to the Occupy movement!!!!

  • I know Merle grew up in Cali, but that is pure Okie right there. I saw merle play not too long ago at a casino in nera Bartlesville. I am not an emotional man, but seeing this man sing and play brought tears to my eyes, his music means so much to me. Thank you Merle.

  • Workers unite!

  • 1 person laid Jesus Christ in the grave.

  • whatever your politics the real point is how great an artist merle is---we shall not have a singer like him for a long time God bless Merle!!

  • Well since the really, truely rich people will not give a dime to the poor, your savior Obama will do it for them. Or, they might get really upset with him for trying, and start looking for Pontius Pilate? Transference of guilt always works. Blame it on Rome.

  • A good simple song about Jesus and people are here talking politics, I don't get it.

  • @2014cwajts71 Because they don't get it. Some might even post and say they get it ,but by doing that tells you "They just don't get it.". Peace be with you my brother

  • @bc78260 Thanks, and peace be with you also.

  • @2014cwajts71 The song was played at the end of "Capitalism: A Love Story" by Michael Moore

  • @jollygnome123 Yes indeed. Truth is, that's exactly how I came upon the song.

  • There are well-meaning right wing Christians - I've met them. Not all of them are good by any stretch of the imagination, but some of them genuinely are. It's just that their political ideology and their voting patterns are not squared with what seems to be the real message of Christianity (charity, kindness, and nonjudgmentality). But as they say, there but for the grace of God go we. So pray for them.

  • Christ is Love!

  • I never met a far right wing christian who proved to be anything other than a liar, a cheat, an ignoramus, a warmonger, a sexual pervert, and a thief. If your looking for any real christianity anywhere in this country, you're far more likely to find christian behavior amongst a bunch of hippies or poor black baptist folk than in a 30,000 member stadium sized right wing nut job church in Denver. The far right soils and destroys any good thing it touches with it's demonic filth..

  • @heartfire451

    AMEN!!!! Preach it!

  • @heartfire451 you got that shit right on the money. I fear anyone who uses invisible sky fairies to justify their actions

  • @heartfire451 boo!

  • No one wants to see the jobs go-----no one I personally know! But that's what greed can do! It sucks. I never took the time to figure out/look into NAFTA, but it doesn't seem like it was a good thing 2 me. I like to hear all sides b4 I make up my mind about stuff (and back then I was prob. too young to worry about it or care). I wish you the best, truly! I just believe in voluntarily helping people, instead of frisking their pockets w/taxes! I try!! But yes-we need to get the jobs back here!!!

  • @wickliffead I agree w/you!! Because of greed, many of 'em are overseas. But when corporations can get cheap labor and not have to pay Soc.Sec. and other benefits and ,sometimes, have a high tax burden, they're gonna leave the good ol' USA!!

  • @canadiansoviet Oh wow! You must be so insightful, genius! NOT! Just because u don't like what I said does not make me dumb. I have a right to my opinion, Mr. Word Police. And I really don't care what u say about me. I know who I am: a beautiful, smart, loving, and good woman. I can only guess that u are a sad, carping, bitter socialist. Poor you, huh? Go find something useful to do, instead of being hateful!

  • Oh yeah, Merle is a anti-capitalist. Bullshit! He's not a f***ing commie or socialist pig--like you wish! U want some wealth-then get off your butt and work like everyone else. Work hard!! Or don't complain! No one else owes you a slice of their pie! Make your own. There's lots of communist countries u can go 2--Cuba, N, Korea, China...but they only give you shit 4 busting your hump all day! I know Jesus and Guthrie is no Jesus Christ! Get out the Bible and actually read it and you'll see!!

  • @womanwonder10 Most working class people will not become RICH,no matter how HARD we work.We are working to SURVIVE! Bush gave tax breaks to the rich to create jobs.Where are the jobs?Oh yes, McDonalds and many like them are hiring at low wages & minimal benefits.Hardly a path to riches. Most corporations are laying people off to keep more PROFITS.Obama has NOT repealed any Bush tax breaks to the rich to create jobs. So,WHERE ARE THE JOBS?To make your own pie, you need excess to the ingredients!

  • @womanwonder10

    You are very dumb.

  • Great song, simple, powerful and to the point; true too, they would kill him.

  • The teachings of Jesus Christ and the ideology of capitalism are mutually exclusive. Based on greed, materialism, and exploitation of fellow human beings capitalism is the antithesis of Christianity. This simple song is immensely powerful and a lot deeper than it seems on the surface. Indeed, the robber barons of Wall Street and their lackeys in the White House and on Capitol Hll would nail Christ to the cross and lay him in his grave if he preached today. - Mike

  • @3aCCCP Not necessarily, A system and its inhabitants are two different things. Plus, Jesus is protected by freedom of speech. Capitalism is like any other power or freedom: It's only as good as the people who possess it.

  • @3aCCCP Beautifuly put my friend.

  • @3aCCCP

Like Woody says in one of his songs, "some will kill you with a shotgun, and some with a fountain pen"

  • @3aCCCP Jesus Christ died willingly...He chose the nails... He did so, having the power to free Himself at any moment. He not only chose to die...He planned it! It was His idea! That is the part of the story that blows me out of the water! It was the ultimate act of sacrificial love. His physical death was only a fraction of the true price He paid. The wrath of the Heavenly Father was also poured out emotionally upon Him. He who knew no sin...became sin! --CHUCK

  • @3aCCCP

Wrong. Adam Smith's Classical Economic Theory scientifically proved the existence of the Principle of Self Interest, Laws of Supply & Demand and the Invisible Hand/God. Perfect harmony with Genesis, making good choices i.e. do the "right thing" we in/directly benefit the entire market/our brother. We were all born Capitalists, proven by the fact out of Self Interest we take our first breath. The pigs on Animal Farm were Corrupt Pigs and the oblivious equate Corruption to Capitalism.

  • @waketheoblivious We were not "all born capitalists." The fact is that from infancy the greed, envy, and materialism of capitalist society is pounded into our heads until it all seems natural and the way things should be. Adam Smith's "Classic Economic Theory" only proves that Adam Smith was a capitalist. Jesus's words were simple and not prone to twisting and false interpretation. None of what you wrote changes the fact the capitalism and Christianity are incompatible.

  • @3aCCCP

Are you insane? The Principle of Self Interest, Laws of Supply & Demand and the Invisible Hand (the metaphor Adam Smith chose to be synonymous with God) were all scientifically proven to exist 250+ years ago. Classical, Keynesian Neo-Classical and now on stage Austrian which will ultimately revert to Neo Neo Classical. Why, because the Laws of Supply & Demand are Natural Laws, created by God that Govern the Universe. Just like gravity, deny you still die jumping off a cliff.

  • @3aCCCP

Christianity is doing as Jesus Christ taught. Love the Lord Thy God with all of your Heart, all of your Soul and all of your Mind. And, Love thy brother as thy self. Do you see anywhere where Jesus Christ instructed to become an imbecile? All of your mind, not brain dead insanity. Classical Economic Theory is in complete concert with the Holy Bible. "What choice can we choose that is NOT subject to Self Interest, i.e. do NOT receive a psychological or material benefit"?

  • Incredible amounts of respect to Woody, but much like Dylan his singing never quite matched his songwriting. Not that I don't love Woody's version, but I listen to Merle's a bit more often is all.

  • I love this song, this song open my mind who is a real Christian, capitalism is not a christian.....

  • The last line sums it all up for humanity

  • Heard this song on a Michael Moore-joint 5/26/'11....here I am posting I love this song in a sad way, they very next day..Merle got down

  • @kaadauwgg what happened to merle!!!

  • If Woody Guthrie was singing this today he would probably be laid in a grave as well. The US needs a Woody Guthrie revival.

  • Merle embodies what country music should be: individualist, working class and in touch with tradition. CMT has turned 'country' into a domesticated brand that hawks right wing politics and toothless escapism. Bring back the murder ballads and social commentary!

  • Merle Haggard is a genius-----a National treasure.

  • This song is so lulzy

  • 1 person wants to lay Jesus Christ in the grave.

  • 135bgs, I like the way you think...

"Insanity in individuals is rare - but in groups, parties, nations, and epochs, it is the rule." - Friedrich Nietzsche

"Religion is the only that keeps the poor from killing the rich" - Napolean Bonaparte

  • It is not individual parties that songs like this are saying would lay Jesus Christ in the grave if he came back today. Some they will jump on the band wagon with the position of the party they support. IT IS NOW JUST AS IT WAS 2,000 YEARS AGO, THE ESTABLISHMENT AS A WHOLE, not just one particular section of the establisment. It thrives on keeping the voters divided; that way they can loot and pillage at their whim, all while keeping us looking in the other direction. it is all an illusion!!!

  • VIva as you said "sorry mam but your unladylike talk does not suit a woman of your stellar character your little panties will soon be full of your dear father's cum and gizz." When you sent this was it reference to your lord our father or father as parent?

  • @JasonDehap I'm done I don't thing screaming matches do any good--you can do what you want--but I am removong my comments as best I can

  • @vivascargill Well no screaming matches hey. Its your garbage on guns and filth that actually takes young people away from treating each other with respect. Your filth is a reflection of your sad existence, if you are also calling yourself a person of faith you arer a fucking inbred. How about thinking about your own behaviour and attitudes and how far you are willing to go, keyboard wannabe intelectual hero is your lot in life! How sad P.S Are you fat?

  • @JasonDehap you have a point you know I was thinking about that (guns stuff)--we may have some common ground

but can' oblige you with "fat" any way my thinking is we don't know each other --a reason You tube posts I think sometimes get very misleading but I apologize.

  • There are only (2) two things I need to know about The Lord Jesus Christ.

    One (1) That He exists.

Two (2) That I am not Him.

  • look there are honorable people on both sides its a great song

Jesus would look at US politics left and right and be crucified again!!

Our Lord would not be the leader of any party

  • @vivascargill While it is true that Christ was far bigger than any political ideology, the silly notion that he would ever sympathies with anything typically left over right is truly funny. The right has been on the side of the unborn human being in the womb forever, that alone would put Christ on the side of Ron Paul. God transcends political affiliation, but he also shudders every time a unborn child is massacred. No true christian advocates abortion, end of story.

  • @pablocoon fair enough and your last line is on the mark-- but believe it or not there ARE leftists who agree most early suffragettes did--and Mrs, Fannie Lou Hamer the great civil rights activist echoed your words--of course she was a very devout Christians--Boy she remains years after her death an embarrasment to the liberals I worked this history up--the big change came in the 60's. Abortion is an insult to God--you are right

But ascribing opinions to God borders on idoloatry no?

  • @vivascargill excuse me -- I try and be polite to little girls--who are regularly fucked by their mommy's daddy's dog and poop in their little panties after swallowing uncle george's cum--so I deeply regret if I seemed impolite little lady but you should be in bed or is mom's vibrating dildo in your ass keeping you up? mmmm Christianity, and what christ would want mmmm Dont talk about shooting people ya wanna be and then prattle on about abortion retard

  • Comment removed

  • @vivascargill dear dear surely your religious feinds friends support your views and propensity to incest. Hope you feel refreshed when you wake up to yourself. P.S. Are you a fatty, is that the issue or no friends?

  • Mike:

I have a followup story for you on capitalism. Please contact me.

  • There will never ever be a solution in this system.

Here go to TheVenusProject dot (com) and TheZeitgeistMovement dot (com) and watch Zeitgeist Addendum on youtube.

A New Movie Zeitgeist Moving Forward will be out in a few weeks or so.

Zeitgeist Moving Forward is coming out Next month.

  • There is no doubt! Merle Haggard is the man! He will sing about subjects that others are afraid to sing about. God Bless You, Hag!!

  • The poor are ready. Waiting...

  • @KelleyGaither2000 Could not agree with you more. R.I.P. George Carlin. Most truthful, and insightful man of our time.

  • In the '70s and '80s, in the wake of the success of 'Okie from Muskogee,' Merle was embraced by the right-wing (including Nixon and Reagan) as an icon of their side. It must sting those people now to hear him present this socialist interpretation of the life and teachings of Jesus, and condemnation of the hypocrisy of latter-day "Christians," written by the great leftist Okie bard Woody Guthrie.

  • this will probably sound crazy to most coming from an athiest, but im a huge jesus fan & this song expresses my view of jesus-

  • He went ot the sick and he went to poor, and he went to the hungry and the lame!

  • This version is so refreshing, everytime I listen to it. It really makes you think about what you truly want in life: A bunch of wealth and worthless stuff, or a group of loving, loyal friends, and happiness.

  • It is nice to see this, I always thought that the so called "Religious Right" focuses too much on abortion and gay rights. They ignore helping the poor, the sick and the dying. Those are the most important Christian values.

  • This is a terrific Merle Haggard song about how far Evangelical Republicans have strayed from Jesus' message.

  • What song, I like the original by Woody Guthrie , Heard the Merle Haggard version in the film: Capitalism: A Love Story. Very evocative of Johnny Cash.

Capitalism is not compatible with Christianity. Matthew vi. 24 Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Mammon is the Aramaic word for 'riches'

  • this song say the truth

  • @larrypetree

Would you care to enlighten us by sharing your obviously-superior perspective and understanding?

  • As former President Jimmy Carter commented: 'We are the stingiest nation of all'. Denmark is top of the table, giving 1.01% of GDP, while the US manages just 0.1%. The United Nations has long established the target of 0.7% GDP for development assistance, although only four countries actually achieve this: Denmark, 1.01%; Norway, 0.91%; the Netherlands, 0.79%; Sweden, 0.7%. Apart from being the least generous nation, the US is highly selective in who receives its aid.

  • Only Hag Can Define What This Song Trully Means. I Wish They Would Release It On A Cd. I Would Play It Loud & Proud. God Bless Ya HAG!!!

  • @Skol10

yet most of them seem to trust the government to spend almost 1 trillion dollars a year on bombing brown people.

  • @metalronin While not wanting the govt to force charity, the Tea Baggers don't condemn those rich for not giving their wealth to the poor. Jesus did not say the rich should give some of their money to the poor. Jesus said the rich man should give all their money away and follow the teachings of Christ or be cast into the pit. So until the Tea baggers take up that cross they can go to hell.

  • @metalronin -- I'll bet that not one person who has responded on this video has given money to charity. Maybe you should join us in the Tea Party if you want to be among gracious people who do give to those in need.

  • @AesopsRetreat Hey, here's another neocon liar!

  • @metalronin It's not quite that much ... but close ... $700 billion, actually ... and that does not count the Homeland Security budget.

  • @Skol10 Yea, but they don't condemn those rich for not giving their wealth to the poor. Jesus did not say the rich should give some of their money to the poor. Jesus said the rich man should give all his money away and follow the teachings of Christ. So until the Tea baggers take up that cross they can go to hell.

  • @Skol10 I hardly think if Woody Guthrie were alive today he would be all that sympathetic to the 'tea-party' Also interesting to note, since he was an Oklahoman, that in the 1912 presidential election Oklahoma had the highest percentage of votes for the Socialist candidate than any other state,Nevad second, also WA. MT,ID,AZ,CA had high % of socialist voters,Okla was the highest % though, Woody's home state

  • Comment removed

  • @Skol10 Bullshit to you sir. Bullshit.

  • @Skol10 Communists are more charitable than you.

  • The tea bagger types wouldn't call Jesus a socialist. He did not advocate giving all your money to the government. He told the Rich man to give away his money because money was his God. As a group the Christians very charitable. We are called to help the widows and orphans but not enable people not to work. It is a very complicated problem that you have misunderstood. Did you give all your money to charity? I hope you did or you are a hypocite by your standards.

  • @jana518

"[Jesus said to them] give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Luke 20:25

  • Thank you so much for putting this up. I've been looking for a recording of it since I watched Capitalism, a Love Story, by Michael Moore. This plays over the ending credits, and is so good it outshines that very good film. Many have said it, I said it that night: the best version of this lesser known(by many) Guthrie classic. I am not even a Christian anymore, but I know where I got my values: Sunday school. This song sings about the Jesus I remember learning about as a child. Thanks again

  • This is just an awesome version of this song. I agree with other comments, the best version I've ever heard including some lyrics I never heard. It's going into my May faves.

  • Still as timely as when Woodie Guthrie wrote it so long ago.

  • They have laid Jesus Christ in the grave, but He is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father! What truths there are in the lyrics of this song. If our nation fails to repent and once more acknowledge God as our creator and King, there will be many who sadly will be standing at the Great White Throne Judgment and in a twinkling of an eye, will be cast into everlasting torment...Hell!

  • @jd450lh what this song is saying is that if Jesus should return in these days and times the tea bagger types would call him a socialist and lay Jesus Christ in the grave. They don't believe in sharing the whealth. They are hypocrites.

  • @wickliffead

can't vote your comment up enough!

  • Actually, when it comes to sharing the wealth most Americans, including "Tea Baggers", are among the most charitable people on the planet. They just don't think it is the role of government to tell them how much money to contribute and to whom.

  • @wickliffead I wish I could give this unlimited thumbs up! I'm glad someone finally said it!

  • @wickliffead -- Jesus would be the leader of the Tea Party. Sorry to disappoint you bubba.. BTW: How much have you given to the poor? Not even a nickle I'd bet. Lip service (maybe) but you wouldn't reach in your pocket if your life depended on it. I've given to 7 organizations this year and I'm living on disability. I'll bet I have you beat by 7, you worm..... :-)

  • @AesopsRetreat You are correct sir. Liberals are great givers of OTHER PEOPLES MONEY. Conservatives statistically out give (from their own pocket) libs every year and it's not even close.

  • @pablocoon Ha! You're funny. You're also a liar.

  • @schifferbrainz Just because you say it, doesn't mean shit to me.

  • @AesopsRetreat - "living on disability"........oh, so you're a socialist?

  • @AesopsRetreat Hea, like we could see Jesus carring one of those tea party signs. LOL. I give to many organizations also. Sorry to disappoint you. Bubba! Worm! Calm down. I reach in my pocket and give because life does depended on it!

  • @wickliffead

Hmmmm. wonder why you think what you just said is something Jesus would approve of..... your attitude toward your fellow man is pitiful!

  • @evegpt Hmmmm.............. I wonder why you think what I said is something Jesus would'nt approve of? I have compassion for my fellow man. Thats why I believe the government should not be spending trillons on WARs and world domination the Capitalist agenda. How is it right to cut government programs for the poor to give money to the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX , the laundering of money to the rich? How is my attitude pitiful?Jesus would approve of what I said, he told me so.

  • @wickliffead Actually it is well documented that conservatives give to charities at rate much higher than liberals - who talk a lot about it but have a poor track record as a group. It is always good to have the facts at hand before you make a blanket statement like this - you will tend to save yourself a lot of embarrassment that way.

  • @tballard56 It is also well documented that most programs to help the poor or middle class is frowned upon by many conservatives. But they are willing to take tax dollars to bail out greedy bankers on wall street. They are willing to take a BIG portion of tax dollars to feed the "MILITARY INDUSTIAL COMPLEX",that money finds its way back in the hands of most of the WEALTHY capitalist in the form of no bid military contracts. Most conservatives are charitable, when they are receiving the charity.

  • @wickliffead Ahh, but you have your facts wrong again. The vast majority of the "greedy bankers on wall street" are liberal Democrats, not conservatives. Also, where is it "well documented that most programs to help the poor or middle class is frowned upon by many conservatives?" Arthur C. Brooks, from Syracuse University, published "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism" in 2006 and found that liberals are markedly less charitable than conservatives.

  • @tballard56 Brooks' study could be fallacious even if true.If 100 people R asked about their charitable contributions and all give generously, but out of the 100 only 5 liberals were asked,U could conclude, that out of 100 people, more conservatives give to charity than liberals. The rich give huge amounts of TAX DEDUCTIBLE dollars to the endowments for the arts, but its not the poor & middle class who attend the operas.Conservative policies in washington favor the RICH.The rest suffer.Thats a fact!

  • @wickliffead - I cite you facts, you give me your opinion. You have no real data to back up your assertions, only what you think. I guess this is just another case of "don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up."

  • @tballard56 YOU are RIGHT. Thomas J Stanley PHD aurthor and researcher found: that liberals have lower levers of net worth than conservatives and give less to charities. Liberals tend to work in occupations that require more advanced college degrees and graduate at the top of or near the top of their class than do conservatives. Conservatives accumulate their wealth in the business sector. But I still say the teachings of Jesus would be considered socalist by most tea party thinkers of today.

  • @tballard56 Conservative policies in washington does not reflect a charitable heart.Cutting programs for the poor and middle class,no health care for all,no higher education for all,not removing tax loopholes for the rich.If policies are not profit motivated they are frowned upon by the conservatives.I guess thats why most of the public has been misled about the conservative's charitable giving.I wonder if the tax incentive for charitable contrbutions was taken away, would they give as much.

  • @wickliffead

    or just flat out bastards.

  • FANTASTIC!!! One great songwriter covering the greatest of the great!! Jesus is still the boss!!! Great post up!!!

  • @coolanddark -- Only a moron would think Social Security is Socialist just because it has the word "Social" in it. That is unless you also believe Government Intelligence has any actual "Intelligence" in it.. :- ) See how that works, Bambi?

  • Long live the Hag!

Last of the real deals...and lifelong friend of the working man...

ps dont get on his fighting side...

  • 3 CHEERS for YOU!!! Merle sang the verses that others leave out!!! This is the best performance of this Great song I've heard so far, because he sings the lines that put fear into the wicked, whose time is coming soon... Watch my video to see how it will soon happen, if you care about how to obey God's laws and create the Kingdom of God on Earth. Thanks for this great song by Woody Guthrie and Merle Haggard, two good servants...

  • The lyricks really make you think twice about what our political should should be looking at.

  • I must Second That Smoke!

  • this is the best version of the song i have ever heard.
