It's one thing to write a book with an admitedly fictional storyline that is a memoir to the disgusting tragedy of honour killings, but another completely to make things up and claim them to be true for attention, how shameful. There were several holes in her story yet she still insisted it was true.

This is a very amazing and fascinating documentary. I just watched it today in film class and I was surprised at how good it was. I'd recommend it to anyone, even if your not a lover of documentaries.

what's so funny is that i was about to buy the book the other day but decided to wait for the movie after seeing it i thank god i didn't' waist my money on a crap ,am a Muslim Jordanian and if my dad killed me and am sure he wouldn't do it, he would get executed

if some one killed another person, he get excuted. that's the law.

Making $ by sacrificing your integrity is surely not "what it's all about"; if you watch / trust the full movie, on top of misleading thousands of readers, Norma defiles the name of her father and husband, abandons her kids, steals bonds off a delinquent old lady and continuously entangles herself in a web of lies and deceit. No better than a common thief.

Whether true or not, The book has made her wealthy. Being that she changed all the info in the book, it is obviously fiction. There are no laws against writing that. She is a very smart woman to be able to bob and weave in between the fine line of the truth/fiction story she wrote. She knows how to make money, isn't it what it's all about?
