Oh my god.. school exams -_- why do we need to memorise so much crap that we're never going to use in our lives again. When i'm older I will never want or need to memorise how Henry V by Shakespeare is compared to a poem written by a completely different person, I can read and write, isn't that enough.

@xTobyMc I have to disagree on somethings. You can read and write, thats good. And while touching on Shakespeare and whatnot is good so as to make students appreciate literature, lessons should be interesting. Lets see the writing style of somE moDern authors such as J.K.Rowling. George RR Martin, Stephen King... make them go on TV tropes and see example of stories happening in all forms of media.
