I stood next to Bill Graham as he watched Joe. Graham was blown away. he was shaking his head in disbelief. That was the moment I realized we had a replacement for Van Halen. I never said I was better... yet. Malmsteen is fast and you can give him credit for having practiced a lot at some point. But he is unimaginative, repetitive, and fucking stupid. To listen to Malmsteen for more than about ten minutes is like smacking yourself in the head with a stupid stick.
