  • That guitar has a magic traveling pixie living inside of it , you can see it flying around the base of the body

  • Voldemort!

  • @ImJimmbo No, Ben Stiller!

  • @jamirosmajicrocks he most definatly is when you are face to face with Joe it dont matter if theres a million people behind you or beside you he focus's on you and makes you feel like your best friends and the only one there! hes awesome!!

  • Is this some sort of his custom guitars, couse i haven't seen it before... It is Ibanez JS but what model ?

  • @ArminPinto Its just a JS 1000 BP (black pearl) and joe doodled on it with a sharpie marker!

  • toorpay

  • troppe chiacchiere!

  • haha, thats great.

  • Voldemort has returned!!!

  • @ramonc5 yes and he walks away from America!

  • So it was not really Joe's fault, it was organizers who blew it, actually.

  • @carmaj156 wasnt joes fault at all!

  • @mkwlord More like thumbs down

  • @mrscountryrose more like jealous satriani fanboys cause he never got to be as famous as them??

  • @jamirosmajicrocks Couldn't agree more. Hard to get that good at anything unless you're kind and humble...well unless you want to be a CEO :)

  • for such a great artist I see the world's dumbest comments for this clip. I saw Joe w/his best group: Jonathan Mover, Stu Hamm. 1988 Surfing w/the Alien tour. The Fillmore, San Francisco. I stood next to Bill Graham as he watched Joe. Graham was blown away. he was shaking his head in disbelief. That was the moment I realized we had a replacement for Van Halen. This is about Joe, Not Steve Vai and certainly not that train wreck of a band, Guns and Roses. Their talent was Slash and Slash only.

  • satch taught vai only one lesson!

  • @bigboidai You clearly know nothing of these guys. Vai was his student for years. They have both stated this MANY times before.

  • @bigboidai no. he taught him for a number of years.

  • Get a hat you twat and that will be that.

  • When I had just been playing guitar for a year or two. I made some arrangements to play the Star Spangled Banner before one of our High School basket ball games. It was just me and my guitar. Like Joe said anxiety..I was allreaady on edge and about one third of the way through my guitar started cutting out!! And then my left hand got the shakes!! I finished and thought Ill never ever play guitar again, but it didnt stop me.What it ended up being was the out put jack on my guitar the nut was lose

  • Shit!that was freaky incident...

  • 0:01 I AM LORD VOLDEMORT

  • they did not copy the song .

cold play and satriani make good music of their own and dont need to copy other music.

by the way if you look at music this way you will probably find similarities even closer than these two songs.

i mean listen to blues ,its almost the same licks every time

.the whole genre is mostly played on a 5 note scale !!!

i think satriani was drunk when he thought about suing cold play for this shitty tune anyways

  • 1:47 xD... Joe you make my day!!

  • lmfao!

  • what is the use of the crap guitar or are u showing off

  • @MahamedMohsen

lol, his js1000 with his own custom drawings on it, buying a replica one from ibby is 5g's.

  • @MahamedMohsen how is it crap ? :L

  • I saw Joe start "Always with you always with me" in the wrong key in cardiff a few years back.

All my mistakes over the past 16 years have been forgiven....

  • Many Americans suck ass. Joe is a good one though.

Are you serious? I am a hack guitar player and can do the American anthem as a joke...and Joe got nervous???? Its a fucking song. Settle down.

  • @swassontelus you make 0 sense

  • @1337Noobtuber I think my statement was taken out of context as it was standing out on it own (it should have been under a reply). Of course his story is hilarious and incredible at the same time.

  • @swassontelus you still make 0 sense

  • @1337Noobtuber I think you are right! I am calling my mom.

  • @swassontelus I killed her.

  • @1337Noobtuber You are 20 and from the US....I wouldn`t expect any other reply from a mental midget. It is okay...feel happy you have cyberspace time in between your mothers boyfriends search for porn as he eyeballs your sister after he washed his peni in your sink. He would eyeball you, but you only have a training bra. Please please please join your Army to defend your freedom to obtain oil so you get blowed up by a commie as you play playstation on your Hummer.

  • @swassontelus Canada sucks.

  • Comment removed

  • @swassontelus Dude you're from Canada a baron wasteland of fucking gibberish speaking retards. I live in Niagara Falls and 90 percent of the Canadians that come through to shop in my store are ignorant foreign fucking assholes. The only good thing to come out of Canada ever is Rush and Georges St Pierre. You've never played in front of 90 thousand ppl or probably ten for that matter. Stay home and snack on some more government cheese, Ay? Eat a dick.

  • @XxBlindedGuitaristxX I think my statement was taken out of context as it was standing out on it own (it should have been under a reply). Of course his story is hilarious and incredible at the same time. But, you have to admit, American cheese is amazing...it must be at least in the top 5 cheeses of the world...move over Europe, American cheese is coming through.

  • what an ugly guitar

  • @LapRound Lol dude are you crazy that is a nice guitar :D

  • @anibal2sorto well i respect your opinion =) i just better like archtop guitars or strats/teles =)

  • @LapRound Lol it is ok we all have our own likes and dislikes :)

  • @anibal2sorto lol yea, but whatsoever, i like joe and this story is kinda awesome too xD :P =)

  • @LapRound Agree xD

  • Massive :)

  • @anesthezialhr its just opinion, everyone can criticize, what would be the point of discussion boards then

  • @anesthezialhr I know right i do not see how they all sound different they just play different genres but if they are all together in person and all play the same songs it will sound the same as what the other peoples are playing fucking idiots >:p

  • @anibal2sorto i think hes talkn about the style not the genre but the way they play man

  • Who cares if people compare guitarist, slash is crap compared to satch,

  • that is pretty bad. lol

  • Pariolo

  • lol that happened to me I was chewing gum and playing the national anthem at a talent show and the gum just fell outta my mouth XD i freaked out

  • @TheMusicBot by far i mean slash is good but joe is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @OpieCavalera Oh yeah, because you're such an amazing guitar legend aren't you champ.

  • lol

  • That's hilarious.

  • Lmfao ! His SHirt xd best shirt ever

  • Just ten thousand.......ha.

  • does his t-shirt say guns n roses?????

  • @anesthezialhr no but skill can

  • @tTatmosT: not really... all art originates from the theory of imitation.. and as such all art is great in its entirety....

but its okay if u disagree.... everyone has there own level of maturity...

  • @anesthezialhr I said skill... not art...

I mean like joe being to shred all over the fret board and some n00b can't, for e.g

  • Hahahaha!

should i do it again? lol =p

  • political statement!! hahaha funny story!!!!!

  • hes hairy on his hands isn't he...:)

  • @dokaz

he's italian what do you want.

  • @RoseCrush

oh, I dont want nothing RoseCrush, I was just saying hes hairy on his hands, probably his chests too...thats all

  • @anesthezialhr WOW! You sounded exactly like Bruce Springsteen when you said that. To be fair though I doubt you can play as fast as him.

  • @anesthezialhr Fuck me hard

  • @bergbyskater : sure when where... trust me it wont be pleasant....

  • @GMHamed666 funny you should say that... since I'm positive this "fag" nailed more chicks you will ever see :)

  • Political Statement. That's hilarious.

  • if you fuck up the national anthem, you majorly fail, the anthem isn't just something you fuck up, you perfect that or don't do it at all

  • Shut up faggot before i perfect the art of sticking my balls in your mouth.

  • Dude that's a good story.

    Hey he's wearing a Guns N'Roses tee!

  • The Grand Master.

  • doesn't you guys think that old GnR is better than the new GnR?

  • old=waayyy better.

  • @bf2n00b wow...you discovered the new world, man !!!!!

  • @bf2n00b

    NO DUH!!!

  • @bf2n00b wrong place to comment that:))and yes..I'm thick that old GnR is much much much better than the new shitty GnR..

  • i know lol

  • See:"LOVE THING BY DOUGLAS"

    Very good too!

  • haha yeah

  • satch is one of the most well-rounded guitarists i have ever heard. i don't really compare talent, but he is one of my favorites.

  • Do you know Allan Holdsworth?

  • yeah apart from steve vai. hes also as good

  • joe satriani taught steve vai :/

  • He taught Slash and Kirk Hammett too.

  • @kaunghtut

He didn't teach Slash according to what I know.

He did teach Vai, Skolnick, Lalonde and Hammett, though,

  • @H057IL3

    I see you can read?

  • @Soulfulshreddify

I posted my list an hour before kaunghtut.

  • @H057IL3

How can you say something like that?

Your post is even in a Reply form. Now gtfo troll..

  • @Soulfulshreddify

Because I replied to a different comment.

  • Oh soz ;)

  • No problem!

  • finally someone that mentioned skolnick! lol he always gets left out of the "satch taught such and such" discussion, hes an awesome guitar player! \m/

  • Haha, no problem :P

  • sorry ppl. "Slash" wasn't Joe Satriani's student but Here is the list! They are....Steve Vai, Tom Morello, Marty Friedman, Larry LaLonde, Kirk Hammett, Charlie Hunter, Kevin Cadogan.

    Gosh... That's good enough.

  • @kaunghtut

    Also Friedman and Morello? O.o

That I didn´t know, I olny knew that Morello was teached by MAB.

  • @vargoth3000 why doesnt berklee ever get credit for teaching steve, much less frank zappa.....all of us had more than one teacher in our lives. this isnt saying he didnt learn a lot from joe but i do think he gets a little more credit for vai than the school via got his doctrine in music from, stupid guitar magazines

  • i think his t-shirt just rocks

  • like the great mike judge said "people are.. stupid" uhuhuuhh

    we love u joe

  • that must have sucked for joe

  • At least nobody's dissing Jimmy page :) my main man.

  • gunsnroses Tshirt?

  • Malmsteen is a fucking tool and a half-ass guitar player. Learn something new you chach!

  • oh so you can do better! cause i don't think you would have time to talk shit on youtube if you were out there touring the world! but you probably just play in your bedroom and think too much of yourself!

  • I never said I was better... yet. Malmsteen is fast and you can give him credit for having practiced a lot at some point. But he is unimaginative, repetitive, and fucking stupid. To listen to Malmsteen for more than about ten minutes is like smacking yourself in the head with a stupid stick. There's plenty of better players out there with better ideas who can play faster in something different than harmonic fucking minor. I wouldn't pay more than ten dollars to see him. Don't defend that tool.

  • he taught kirk hammet, jeff tyson, steve vai etc

  • didnt teach hendrix hendrix taught hendrix and thats why there will be only one hendrix

  • hendrix isn't impressive. Malmsteen. That's where it's at. he is self taught too

  • all he plays is the same old harmonic minor scales. hes old and a complete asshole on stage. Satriani runs circles around malmsteen

  • not really. satriani is not as skilled

  • please for the love of god dont believe that speed over rules emoition and playablity

just because malmsteen can play fast does not make him a good player

    at all

  • thank you some guy commented me saying malmsteen was better then hendrix....if malmsteen was to improve with hendrix malmsteen would be outa licks in a couple minutes compared to hendrix...hendrix knew a shit load of licks

  • yeah exactly

i mean dont get me wrong malmsteen is incredibly talented and has very good technique

but for me speed and technique does not rule emotion and originality

i agree hendrix would probably beat malmsteen if they exchanged licks

but then again its really hard to make that assumption as they both come from different generations of guitarists

i still personaly think Satriani could win against both of them

but thats just my own oppinion

  • i thumbed you up on the first part of this comment the second part is bull shit

  • its called pre delay, he tricks us into that he picks fast

  • Actually Malmsteen does have feel. And he is actually a very good guitar player. Just a very different style. And he has his head up his ass.

  • @realguitarist07 as most players of his caliber do...when you can play at that level, you have every right to be cocky as hell...you deserve it. you can't get the leve he is at and achieve what he has with out being a bit more the confident.

  • I am pretty sure he has the right to have an ego though. xD

  • @realguitarist07 yeah, Malmsteen is great for that niche that he lives in. The only problem with him, is that he never really comes out of that niche. He has a great command over that specific style and technique though. He's one of those guys that you listen to when you're in that mood for the specific kind of music.

  • @realguitarist07 He's gotten very sloppy though.

  • @MrXorHomer Your mom's stank twat has gotten very sloppy bitch!!!!!

  • Awesome story.

  • I had to read the comment three times before realizing that Satchie actually taught Slash.

  • he did? That's cool... i just remember him teachin Kirk Hammet and Steve vai! :)

  • and alex skolnick.

  • and mostly everyone else that's good at guitar lol

  • im not sure really bout tht

  • i dont think he taught slash but halen i think he tought

  • van halen was self taught, he taught steve vai and others...

  • oh then some1 lied to me some1 told me that eddy wanted to find the best guitar player he could to teach him and found joe on and on idk :/

  • HAHAHA "What's that little guy doin down there."

  • he seems like such a great guy

  • Guns 'n' Roses!?!? OMG O.o

    XD

  • G and R t shirt? hahahaha... thats strange... probably slash admires him...

  • Hope they fired that roadie guy.

  • At least he has has as sense of humor. Some others might not take that so lightly.

  • am wearing the same t shirt as him :P i fell special

  • Poor Joe :-( I'd much rather that to happen to the likes of Yngwie not Satch :P

  • fuckin hell i'd be gutted

  • Thats the hardest song to play, cause everyone knows it and everyone has their favorite verson of it ... It's impossible to please everyone in regards to that song!

  • oh god i'd run home and cry xD

  • haha lol. what a shame

  • wahaha

  • who isnt a GNR fan? lol

  • Guns N' Roses T -.|_|..

  • guns n' roses fan \o/

such a great moment lol :P

  • HAIL YEAH!!!!

  • had the pleasure of shaking his hand after a gig once.he sat on the stairs of his coach and everyone lined up and took it in turn.really nice guy.he was wearing gloves though so his magic didnt rub off on me.

  • when you touch his hand you gain ultra guitar playing powers......... oh man i wish that was true

  • wanna get away??

  • i'd love to shake that man's hand!!!!!!!

    satch rules
