War Hero???

McCain broke and gave classified intel to his captors (most pilots did not) then lets his PR people cast him as hero.

-He even "approves this message" on TV ads that call him a hero.

REAL heros are the ones that did not break.

REAL heros don't make a big deal about it.

How does being shot down, spending the the war in jail, make you a good president? It might (probably does) make you a good candidate for PTSD.

Ok, he's a hero. He suffered for five years. Why don't we vote all the other POW's? What are is policies? How is he going to improve civil liberties? Is he going to follow the Constitution? What's his position on monetary policy? Does he understand the Federal Reserve System? How is he going to lower taxes? Is he going to lower taxes? How can he justify an interventionist Foreign Policy? I can ask the same questions to Obama and Hillary. They all are the same.

hero- that was a few decades ago. unfortunately a "few things" happened to him later that f--d him and has not been a real person since. put the devil toys away and keep puppets out of the presidency. the presidency belongs to real people with God-given jobs.

Wow I may have been ignorant to those facts because I work so much and can just catch bits and pieces from radio and TV and i just haven't had time to research why allthe news folks were calling him a Hero......G.A.Hero....war hero.. but now that you straightened that out for me, maybe ill consider voting electronically this time for Ron Paul, so John can claim my vote too.

I'm still waiting to hear what it was that he did to become a hero. Being captured just makes you a P.O.W. Planning an escape for all your comrades and destroying the camp in the process would make you a hero. What did he do besides sit and wait to be rescued?

He had both of his shoulders broken along with one of his legs after crashing. He refused early release when offered by his captors: he would only be released along with his fellow POWs. He tried to commit suicide when he thought he was about to "crack" and become a propaganda tool because of the torture he was sustaining. You should read his book about his experiences as a POW and search Youtube for accounts by his fellow POWs. Sounding like a fool is not a better option than my recommendation.
