Railroader62 i had a look at this vid and it's some fine work you did i know you said it almost looks like a Da class but it kind of looks like a MK I T Class used by the Victorian Railways in Australia too
Oh boy I've died and gone to G12 Heaven. Listen to that baby growl as the Engineer notches up. I love it. The NZ DA's had an idler wheel between the four driving axles to help distribute the weight over the light rails on some of the branch lines. Thank you thank you Railroader62 for the wonderful insight into Scandinavian railways.
Det här är nog den bästa videon jag har sett på Youtube, alla kategorier! Riktigt proffsigt gjort, och vilket rart oljebrännarljud sen! Det finns inget som går upp emot en riktigt tung tvåtaktare!
Wonder if they have ever given the locomotives horns a proper American two longs, a short, and a long for the railroad crossings in Sweden? Probably would confuse the natives *grin*
I read somewhere that when this engine first operated into some small port town over there in the dead of winter the locals, upon hearing that horn for the fist time all said "Isn't it a little early in the year for the icebreaker to already be arriving?"
