this is cool but you can save from $4,550 to $6,000 dollars just by having a friend or coach under the net catching passing and counting?....id rather save my money and as far as Schools buying this @zac12897 where do u live cuz my schools in my area are firing teachers they so broke.....they probably dont have something like this in the "budget" but dont get me wrong the thing is dope and if u got the cash by all means go get it!!! it is a dope machine.
@jakefromthebean Very sad to see the current situation with schools and funding around the country however this money raised for the Gun for schools is coming from a complete different location. Most schools fundraise to earn the money and other have them donated by a booster that would rather see kids in the Gun learning to shoot.
@srpjr3795 Guns start at $4,550 and from time to time you can get reconditioned Guns for as little as $3,550. There are over 12,000 nation wide and people don't like to give them up. To prove that, try to find one on Ebay or Craig's list.
@360TRiiCKZ - It is for people who want to maximize their basketball skills to get to the next level. For example if a player works on a Gun in HS and this helps him get a college scholarship, you could say this is for people who want a good job.
@360TRiiCKZ Not at all directed at you. Just LOVE seeing young boys in a gym during the summer working then out on the streets getting into trouble. I will say for the committed players, the Gun will be their best friend! Just ask a D-1 or pro player. Do you still play ball?
@spikedardens Ball boys would charge more then $0.50 per session not to mention doing 300 + sessions a year which the best shooters in the world use the Gun for. This is why almost half the HS in the country have a Gun and now many homes are putting the Gun to work as a rebounder.
Ball boy is better though as they will give the ball to you if you miss as well. And if u do soo many sessions your probably playing for a reason and are rich...
@adi1096 The Gun also collects misses and returns them to the shooter. Up to 1800 shots an hour. Just maximizing your time shooting. GET 10 times the REPS.
@dwindleskater02 from $4,550 to $6,000 with all the bells and whistles (5 year warranty). From time to time there are reconditioned Guns that are available for $3,550.
@dwindleskater02 There is a wand that can easily be hung on the back of the rim (less then 3 seconds to hang) that sees makes. There is another sensor which counts the total shots trough the machine. GREAT for instant feedback.
It is suggested you use 4 balls at a time so you are never waiting for a ball to get loaded back in the ejector. If you choose, you may use more balls.
@muldrowbulldogs32 I think you would be very surprised if you ever shot on it. After 20 shots you don't even see the net. For younger shooters, it reminds them to keep their follow through high and thus shoot the ball, not throw it.
@vtjakiela The collection net is adjustable from around 11 feet up to 13.5 feet so you can require more arch or collect harder misses that might have a tendancy to bounce out of the collection net.
OR, you can't get your own rebounds. It will not only make you fitter, it'll improve your handles & your ability to shoot off the dribble. Otherwise, just find a partner. There's plenty of guys who'd do drills.
@upabittoolate Every NBA team has a Gun and most have multiple except for the Pacers. Reason is players would ratehr get more shots in then chase the balls around. His is why 66 of the 68 NCAA Tournament teams have the Gun and over half of the HS in the country.
@GHotSauceAnd1 No it doesn't hit the nets from the corners. The whole collection system is adjustable so if you do shoot with little/no arch, you can move the nets down as low as 11 ft. BTW, a tipical FT from a 6'0 player travels at max arch up to 14'. Understand you have a 9" ball having to go over a 10 ft rim. Thus the ball has to travel over 10'9" if it were shot parallel with the rim.
@TheJChasta, you don't need a court. Just a basket and electricity. This machine can work outside so long as you store indoors to keep it out of the rain/snow. Over 1500 people across the country have a Gun at their home.
@Ivan1781 If anothers work ethic matches your work ethic and they have this Gun, they will get over 6 times the repetitions you will get trying to rebound for yourself.
You wouldn't believe how useful these things are, you can shoot up to 500 shots in an hour with this...that's a whole days worth of shooting without a rebounder
The Gun's net collection system is adjustable from 11'2" to 13'6". In shooting a shot at a 10' basket from the FT line (15' away), the typical arch for a 6 ft person would max out at around 14' since you are trying to shoot a 9" ball over a 10' rim. Short story, we've done extensive research & while the net gives the notion players need to shoot with more arch (most like this), even at its highest setting, it won't be too high.
The Gun is used by every NBA team except the Pacers. 97% of D-1 schools and near half the highschools across the country. This thing is also used for home use all across the USA.
@DTangedal - It reloads itself. The Net collects the ball and feeds it into the ejector. At to speed you can get up to 1500-1800 shots an hour.
