Not that I'm muslim, but I'm not really sure what your problem with muslims are.... all the muslims I know are nice, normal people with a moderate take on their belief system. Extremism exists on the fringes of virtually every religion including christianity ( timothy mcveigh, etc) and frankly I'm more frightened by the rise of ignorant gun-toting bible-thumping evangicals than I am of Islam.

@greenwing89 You are a propagandist that cherry picks facts. The crusades were a defense by allies of the Byzantine Empire in response to the Muslim/Turk/Ottoman attacks on it. The Ottoman empire was a brutal and murderous take over of formerly Christian areas. The inquisition seemed terrible but in reality (historically speaking in comparison to other terrible things) relatively few people were killed. How about YOU look up what the Muslims have done from the Ottoman Empire to hardline regimes.

@pantherjad There were no Ottomans when the crusades were marching to Jerusalem which is a very clear fact. They were Seljuks facing them if you are talking about the famous crusades that took place btw 11th and 13th centuries and I think you mean those. At least learn some basics before commenting about some historical events or critisizing others.

you're a victim of revisionist history. Do you think the Crusades were some random unprovoked drive-by shooting? After the fall of the Roman empire, Roman troops were no longer available to keep Jerusalem and other holy cities open to members of all faiths. Islam conquored and claimed the traditional home of Christianity in the power vacuum after Romes Fall. The Crusades were retaliatory and defensive in nature.

Lets conquor and claim Mecca and ask the Muslims not to care.
