this is Very good analytical review but i gotta say, n97 is still better any day. the HTC is too bigg and ugly (carrying it around wud be akward) and the memory is too low (for this century) plus the camera is nt that good. .. . .the tilting mechanisim jus makes it easier to break!!! while the n97 is a better allrounder any day, which is comfortable, durable, easy to use, stylish, efficient, and very compatible phone.

i give n97: 9.2/10 and the htc: 8/10

One Suggestion...why didn't u regard the FM Transmitter on thee N97...or the 32GB + memory that's built in and allows u to expand it even more by adding 16G of flash... I'm looking at the spec's of the HTC Touch Pro 2 and it's score doesn't look the same to me. Don't say that I am a Nokia fan, 'cuz my N97 is driving me nuts from time to time, but I am trying to be a realist! Let's face it...everyone has been driven mad by his phone at some point ;)

Loved your review EXCELLET covered almost everything i wanted to know about the touch pro 2. I wanted however, to know one more thing, is the TP2 able to run video filmes with H264 (avc) codec at native resolution or will its processor makes it stutters? (doesnt matter wich coitanners it uses, mp4 or mkv). Since tp2 has a tv-out fuction wich is excellent (and shoud have been mentioned) i really am having a hard time to find this particular info out.

One thing for the HTC TP2, the tilt screen ACTUALLY TILTS AT DIFFERENT ANGLES.

The Nokia N97 only tilts out, at one stuck angle.

As well, for me with the audio, sound quality is more important than the 3.5mm jack, because I'm always listening to my devices with bluetooth.
