@firemanheatblast What the hell? The Intel G33/31 Express Chipset Family is a GRAPHICS CARD. Except its integrated into your mother board so its a pain to get out. In some cases its impossible. You can't download a physical item. In all cases THAT'S impossible.

i remember that there are few chipset nowaday that dont support shader are k8p800(chrome9s, daltachrome), sis 662/620. intel had shader support since 915g. so it is possible that you can put up g31/g33 to mid setting shader in source engine without lag

its only on custom downloaded levels that the game runs like this, if u were to ply no mercy it would be all choppy light and low qualitty

Here's a trick I recently found out (SINGEPLAYER ONLY).

1.Make sure you have the console available by going to Options>Keyboard/Mouse>Then enable Allow Developer's Console

2.Once you've done that start a singeplayer game, then press ~ (no need to hold shift) then type in these in order (Without quote): 1."Sv_cheats 1" 2.mat_postprocess_enable 0

This will make the game run faster and smoother, though with the intel g33 gameplay will still be poor.

P.S. - TURN OFF THE FLASHLIGHT ALWAYS!

Uh, so what does those do? I read tht swiftshader just helps if you don't have pixel shaders (which intel's g33 does) and that 3d analyze is pretty much the same thing...is there any other solution to boost game performance in L4D?

if ur shader is 2 allready and u use swiftshader or 3d analyzer, they will just help the game run better

(g33 can never run crysis without them)

That isn't even a graphics card, its an onboard integrated chipset, built for videos or low graphics, you cannot "update" a graphics card or chipset to make it better, since they are physical things that cannot be modified. You'll have to better card if you can't run the game.

at start a G33 (no updates) has pixel shader 1.4 or 1.2 and the update makes it a 2.0
