  • The first fight is a silly fight...

  • @MasterKnightDH well its probly not gonna be the best. but i will get it anyways it might be pretty good.

  • Dck returns won't be as good cuz it's not made bay rareware

  • @coolman8393

    Are you sure about that?

  • @coolman8393 Yep, recent reviews indicate that Ninty did a better job than Rare. People don't even seem to miss the Kremlings anymore. I'm still waiting for DKR 2 to see what Nintendo REALLY can do!

  • Wow final boss in SNES version took longer than GBA. Good gob! You made K. Rool a fool of himself. You would probably kick ass better than I can in SNES

  • Considering crocodile meat has high protein, I'd say that's why the fishes attacked K. Rool.

  • DK did the SHORYUKEN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ur not going to do the baron?

ahh thats a shame. i actually have a video too of defeating him.

but you should make one too i liked this one verry much.

  • does he think he's a bull or what?

  • Toro! Toro!

  • lol

  • The funny thing is, a charging attack would have been sensible to knock down a confused Diddy, or...anything but that jump attack

  • yeah.

  • 4:55 Matrix Diddy

  • about DKC1

i remember playing DKC 1 when i was a kid with my family. we got to the fake credits part, thought it was over, then he got back up and killed us

    about DKC2

the lost levels end boss is easy as long as you dont make mistakes and use dixie

    about DKC3

    easiest boss in the series

  • This is one bad ass boss

  • A bad *** boss that found himself the victim of being a technique run boss?

  • He puts up a better fight than Bowser, that's for sure

  • Does that say much? Especially considering Brawl?

  • I wonder if that controller in the back has color buttons on the super Famicom version

  • FATALITY

  • Awsome video, anyone who has played these boss's will know its not as easy as you just made it look!! 5 stars from me!

  • Thanks.

  • Excellent video, just what the title promised.

    I wish they made DKC4...

  • @crosspoison I trust you've seen the trailer? Donkey Kong Country RETURNS!!

  • lol, subtitles made my day )

  • BEHOLD MY TRUE DIFFICULTY...AND DESPAIIIR!!!

So true. His last three phases are pretty damn hard.

  • Yeah, it's basically from Castlevania. Although as a note, I use pirate lingo to fit in with K. Rool's disguise.

I think his middle 3 phases are the hardest ones that don't rely on trying to be cheap, to be honest. The last one, I think you can reliably move to his previous location and space when he reappears.

  • Oh, I know where the quote is from.

But, for what it's worth, I got past the second triplet okay usually, but got killed on the last three phases, where he was quite unpredictable.

  • lol good job

  • Nice run here, I'm guessing you didn't use the team throw on the second half of kaptian k. rool to show that you're good enough to deal with the effects of the different coloured balls, I personally take the cheap way out. And to that person saying he is the hardest boss ever, have you heard of the games "king of fighters"

  • The cheap way out is Dixie's helicopter spin, right? *shrug* Why does Tanto think she doesn't belong on Easy Mode Character?

I pointed out about SSBB bosses being more difficult, especially on Intense where they can wipe out the 4 stock you get to work with rather quickly.

  • Who's The Monkey With Blonde Hair?

  • Dixie Kong. You should know this if you have played DKC2. Or SSBB for that matter.

  • K Rool wears a lot of different costumes, but with that bulging eye, he's pretty hard to miss!!!!

  • donkey kong country 2s k.rool would probably be the hardest boss i ever played in any video game ever

  • Try turbo Duon OR Porky on Intense in Brawl for bosses that are more difficult. I probably still have yet to just ND either of them on a decent enough frequency to ND Boss Battles. Kaptain K. Rool is, amazingly, a joke in comparison, this video proving that because I'm basically technique running.

  • I remember the blue goo freezes you, and red reverses your controls, but what does purple do?

  • Red actually slows you down. It's purple that reverses your controls.

  • My bad. I wrote that down before I saw the effects of red in the video.

I haven't played this game in years.

  • The "ending" sure fooled me. But how the hell K.Rool was able to turn invisible is beyond me.

  • The "ending" also fooled Diddy, who just stood there confused about how the Kremlings made the game if they had their butts kicked in it, that is until King K. Rool jumped over his head instead of doing the smart thing and using his charge attack again.

As for the invisibility, I'm guessing Kaptain K. Rool wanted us to behold his true difficulty and despair, as we would feel true cheapness.

  • The only two possible ways:

    1.One of his abilities

    2.A function on his blunderbuss

  • Probably the former; he can do that in DK64 too.

  • man good video good stuff. :)

  • Quite the daredevil, huh? I used to stand in front of him and jump at the last minute all the time.

  • I did daredeviling against Kaptain K. Rool all the time too. (Not the Lost World one; I couldn't even reach him because I was using an emulator with a glitch that made Klobber Karnage much harder to beat.)

  • You mean the one that makes the spinning barrels at the end act crazy? That was awful...I have no idea how I managed to beat that level and get the DK coin.

  • He was a regular enemy in DKC. The muscle Kremling who couldn't be killed by Diddy's regular attacks to be precise. (And there's a silver Krusha variety in Platform Perils that can't be killed with Donkey Kong's jump attacks either, so you have to hit them with barrels.)

There's a similar enemy in DKC2 named Kruncha--and attacking him with regular attacks will just anger him. (Don't forget Donkey Kong was captured or you wouldn't even be on Crocodile Isle in DKC2 in the first place.)

  • the dkc2 k.rool is the brother of the first.

  • Actually, the K. Rools are all the same character. You probably got the impression of otherwise because K. Rool just acts weird, especially in DKC3. The Kongs are never even fooled by K. Rool's pirate persona.

  • smashbros001 probably got confused because in Brawl, the description of Kaptain Rool of the trophy said that K. Rool and him were brothers. That was a translation error.

  • I understand. First impressions aren't always accurate after all.

It's possible the error may have been in Brawl in Japan, since DKC was made by Rare, who is in England.

Oh, by the way, if you're smashbros001, there's no need to hide it.

  • so they are not brothers?

  • They aren't. Brawl just says they are, but if they were, Kaptain K. Rool would have appeared again by now (outside the DKC2 remake for GBA).

  • What if King K. Rool, Kaptain K. Rool, and Baron K. Roolstein all met?

  • arent they all the same guy in different costumes?

  • They are.

  • Another thing to recognize they're all the same: their left eye. Take a close look at it (google images ftw) and you'll see it's all the same. ;-)

  • Indeed.

Of course, the whole point is K. Rool making Trojan Bowser look like he's good at actually making you think he IS Bowser. K. Rool's characterization in DKC3 shows just how weird he is.

  • @ChaosCntrl and with a little change in the name

  • nice

  • Heh. Thanks.

  • you really did make him a fool.

  • in super smash brothers brawl i mean... sorry

  • master knight do you have a wii? if you do you hould make a custom stage of this level

  • Um...Gangplank Galleon or K. Rool Duel? More likely the former seeing as the music for the K. Rool battles in DKC2 isn't in SSBB, ugh. But I wouldn't be sure how to handle either level effectively.

However, while I do have the system, I don't have WiFi at the moment, so I doubt I'll be doing this, at least anytime soon, since there wouldn't be too much point. I'm more concerned about getting up my next video right now.

  • Monkey see, monkey do, monkey made a fool out of K. Rool! OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH YEEEEEAAAHHHHH

  • Yeah. I like to think that King K. Rool even looks like a reject for an audition for beer bottle users in Bimmy & Jimmy Lee 3.

  • Awesome DKC1 music, so glad it's in SSBB, good job, rather nicely done and relatively quick.

  • The music is epic, like SNES music tends to be.

And nice job raping K. Rool :P

  • Ah memories. I love the DKC series. I was pretty impressed with the DKC1 beatdown.

  • I tended to hit the special shot things just for the challenge... and during the first time to just see what they actually did. It's true that it adds to the K. Rool humiliation when you did all that despite the effects.

  • Sadly, I didn't manage to evade the shots this time around. Though if I did, I would have run into the blue and purple ones on purpose right afterwards. Not the red ones; I think being slowed down DECREASES the difficulty of evading the following spiked cannonballs.

  • Ah, the DKC1 final boss music is still as good as ever.
