i've had this alot in my life where i'd be dreaming and i would wake up in my dream and i knew i was still dreaming, then i would ask someone for directions and their mouths would be moving but all i could hear were my own thoughts guiding me to wake up for real.

When a person has a dream that they are aware of while the are dreaming it is called "lucid dreaming". There are several books on it.

And you can't confuse existence and consciousness. Consciousness is the cognition of the external world, it's a reflection of nature. You have to have an external world before you can have consciousness. Therefore, existence is primary, and consciousness is secondary. The mind is the supreme product of matter organized in a definite way. Matter in motion (energy) is the condition for consciousness, not the other way around.

I don't understand how you make these leaps of assumptions!  Yes, our 5 senses give us the external world. All this information is sent to the brain for analysis, where it is stored into neural connections as memories. This is an evolved mechanism to help us survive. If we can remember sensations of things, we can avoid danger. But all this information which is stored into the brain can be very confusing, so while we dream, our brain goes over this information, sorts it out, and organizes it.

That's why we can remember tastes and sounds and sights while we dream, because we have previously received sensations from it, and we can remember those sensations. What are sensations? Reflections of the external world, images of things which exist outside of our own existence. The idea is nothing else than the material world, reflected in the human mind, and translated into forms of thought.

You say that consciousness is pure energy and the conscious mind is the true self. What does this mean? Is the conscious "self" some ball of energy which you can hold in your hand? Does the brain secrete consciousness the same way the liver secretes bile? Consciousness is the reflection of the material world. Our "self" is just the various interactions and experiences we received through sensations, it's nothing but a reflection, an echo of matter wanting to know itself and secure its existence.

@cosmic3rdeye That's a bit simplistic. Electricity is the flow of electrons, positive and negative charges. Nerves communicate with the help of electric impulses, but the actual messages are sent via neurotransmitters, hormones and chemicals. Electromagnetic radiation lights up the surrounding world, which is reflected by our sense-organs, and only spectrum a limited range of the spectrum. Our knowledge is not immutable and ready-made, but is realized through the transformation of matter.

We can make cars and tvs because we can build on our previously gained knowledge with the use of language. We did not know how to make tvs 100 years ago, and 1000 years ago we thought the earth was flat. From ignorance, we approach absolute truth, in an endless succession of generations. And the earth once existed in such a form that no life, no conscious entities of any kind could have existed. Those are a later phenomenon which took billions of years of evolution to form.

This happens to me a lot! That is why I tell every one when they ask me Do you dream? I say yes, but I take control of my dreams and Its rare if I dream... And I always have really incredible dreams! I Understand this perfectly! I have been aware of the sixth sense! for a wile now!
