Devo were a concept, they were theatre rock. To say they wern't the real deal is nonsense. Devo were inspirational, challenging, weird, and completely unique. If you don't get that maybe you have devolved too soon. As Devo said, it's survival of the fittest yet the unfit may live. This band was for smart kids.

Only Pearl Jam can make a cover of a Devo song and rock at the same time. They can make anything sound awesome, that's for sure. This is the only band around that makes a cover and leave you wondering if it isn't better than the original track.

You're wrong. YOU only know whip it. They had a TON of hits, you just weren't a fan. They have loyal fans and still pack venues. Been doing it for over 25yrs. They are also responsible for a ton of music enovations that made some instruments what they are today.Like many rock bands, they stood for going against the "man" and questioning instead of just accepting what our government feeds us. You'd be amazed at how many of YOUR favorite bands are devo fans.
