  • Whats the difference cut the hair dry and wet?

  • Dank u wel, Loepsie!! :-) I love this video - and all your other ones! I'm so happy I don't have to pay anyone for cutting my hair anymore :-)

  • I like your hair at this length. Not how it is currently.

  • Thank you so much. :) It worked at the first try.

  • A better way I find it to split hair down the middle and bring it over my shoulders, then I do the thing with the bobble, much easier to see what your doing then and leaves a v shape :)

  • i tried this tutorial it worked

    thanx a lot

  • u look likke Mr.Bean !!

  • i did this and.... leopsie yiu did it again its wonderfull i was worried like you were though i got rid of my uneven ends and split ends at the same time

  • I'm not saying this to be rude, but do you know why the skin around your eyes looks yellow?

Have you had your liver function tested?

  • where did you get your cute jacket!

  • "It's a good tutorial" *little jig* lol so funny! xD

  • @muellehn I don't know, if you still wonder, how you could cut your layers yourself.. There is this method, where you put your hair in a high ponytail, then pull your hair up and cut it (perpendicular to the ponytail). Later you can do some "clean up" if you some strands look odd. For me this method works very well, but my hair surely isn't as long as yours ( a little below the bra closure). But maybe you could ask someone, that you trust, to help you...

  • how old are you in this and at the time were you allowed to cut your hair?

  • @thegirlishgirl1 I was 16 when I filmed this video. I had been cutting my own bangs since I was 14, but I was never 'not allowed to' I just didn't feel the need to cut my own hair before that =)

  • I LOVE YOUR HAND MIRROR!

    where did you get it?

  • @TheExXquisite I got it at the Elf Fantasy Fair ^-^ Not sure who made it =P

  • @Loepsie I wish we had those elf fantasy fairs here... we oly have medieval fairs :'[

  • hey ur mirror is so nice with that square patches nd cute lips on it. make a room tutorial plz cuz it's beautiful

  • hey ur mirror is so nice with that square patches nd cute lips on it

  • im a hairdresser and that is the worst way to cut your hair it will leave graduation hairs and it wont be even ive been watching your videos and you have great tips but thats a no no, you should always do it tiny layer at a time.

  • @benb8660 I am a hair dresser too...i'm thinking her hair was probably left with a-line shape to the bottom. Like an upside down U but since it was the very ends it probably wasn't all that noticable. I wish people wouldn't cut their hair themselves. There are so many variables to consider when cutting. If you feel a stylist cut too much then find a new stylist that listens and give exact measurements ie 1/4 inch off the ends do not just say a little trim.

  • I whould cut your hairs!

  • thank you so much for this video! You make it seem so easy :) do you think this method would work if my hair is a little bit wavy? i mean, the waves don't look the same cuz there are some big waves and there are some that are completely different :( In this case, do you think it would be better to cut it when it's wet and i've combed it very well to make sure i'll cut the same length? Thank you! :)

  • You forgot a piece of hair on the side that wasn't in the ponytail.

  • i tried it and it really works! thank u very much for the tutorial Lucy. now i can save my hair & my money by avoiding hairdresser's! lol

    you're GREAT!!!

  • Yay, this looks so easy! The last time I trimmed my hair I don't think it quite turned out exactly how I wanted, but this seems like it could fix it!

  • You look like mr bean :) good vid

  • your not supposed to cut it straight across

  • I read the title and it sounded horrible for a minute... hehe oops.

  • @muellehn - - if you do the same method with your head upside down, making sure to comb all hair flat then you will get layers. Thats how I do my hair.

  • @emilyhale27 You should do a tutorial!

  • @o0candikat0o There is already a youtube tutorial online, how I learnt, it is called Adding Layers to your Hair Made Simple/Self Cut 2, there is also a cool product called a Creaclip which I am thinking of getting which will make this easier.

  • @emilyhale27 thanks!

  • this was really helpful! thanks!

  • you are adorable :) very gorgeous girl and i love your hair tutorials...hope to see more soon!

  • ok but watt if a person has layers????

  • Lucy, you are the the most beautiful girl i have ever seen. I am in los angeles california u.s.a. what counrty are you in? My name is Adlai Jalube. you can type in my name and find me on facebook or myspace. i hope to hear from you soon.

  • I like your bangs longer like they are in this video, very pretty.

  • go to another hair dresser explain your delima lol i had the same problem plus the fact im a man they were who cares we cut it for yah i was no way im going where the ladys go lol i met my heaven hair dresser she so nice she charge me less usually she charges$40 to $60 but since im a guy who just needs tips cut every 4 months she charge me $25.00 and i give her $5.00 tip.she loves my hair lol plus i love to feel her boobs in the back of my head lol

  • Thank u soooooooo much hun u have helped me so much my hair looks healthier and this method is the best way to trim hair and although I'm trying 2 grow it long it looks healthier using your way thanks=) ur the best and ur very pretty love ur hair xoxo

  • I think it would look kind of harsh if you did that, very unnatural. I don't recommend doing that unless you are going for that kind of look. My hair is a bit layered, but I use this method to grow the layers out. I really don't think it's suitable for layers, sorry =(

  • you look soo pretty here .

  • This is the EASIEST self-cut method!!! I have been cutting my own hair for years & tried this the other night for the first time & it works GREAT!! & is so quick!! THANK YOU!!!

  • You are very very pretty but it looks a little bit uneven...

  • i tried it! i too have long hair and it worked great! thanks!

  • i really like this grey jacket ur wearing =o

    so cute :D

  • amazing idea thanks

  • you are so lovely.

  • how often do you cut your hair?

  • Whenever I feel like I need to. This time it has been 14 months xD That's long, I know :P

  • You are just so cute! ^^ I also cut my own hair and use a tecnic similar to yours. Instead, altough, I put elastic trough all the lenght to make sure i'm not puting any hair out of place when I move it to the front. It sure made a diference on your hair and yes it looks longer! I will only trim that much when I reach my goal tough, you really trimmed much more than I isually do =P Well done still! And happy growing! I love your videos =)

  • oooo. That's a good idea.

I wish I could cut my hair like that but I have really thick, wavy hair so I have to get it layered.

  • It looks a little uneven... =/

  • It does look a bit uneven in the mirror... But it's not =) Don't worry, I wouldn't suggest a way of cutting your hair that doesn't work xD I'll show a good view of the ends in my next video ^-^

  • haha, very good. maybe I'm gonna do this.

your hair looks so healthy :)

  • I does look longer : ) Great techinque, I must try it one day..when my hair is long enough ^^

Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials and tips!

  • your so cute lol! thanks for the hair cut tip! :-)

  • How many inches is your hair measuring from center hair line at the tope you your face down the part and to the tip (the traditional measuring method). I am currently growing my hair.

  • Would this work for thin, very layered hair?

  • probably for the longer layers.

  • Then you would have to put it in a high ponytail, and remember to feather it/Point cut it before you take out the elastic, orelse you could end up with harsh edges and choppy, uneven layers ;) Good luck :D

  • ooog thanks. I have to try that next time too.

  • side bangs look great on you...keep them!! :)

  • That's so freaky hahaha, it really does look longer after the cut :P

  • soo cute :P

good technique...i must remember it and pass it on :)

  • Trust me!

these fringes suit you way better than the other straight 1s!
