  • sound a little like a certain dictator at the beginning

  • I love this song ~<3

    Although I thought it said:

"Black cat died just made me feel

a f****d up mind, premature burial

your lips I miss above your lie

    with they open buried alive"

  • First Creature Feature song I heard <3

  • whos lanore

  • @mistystar989 a poem by edgar allan poe OR a comic by roman dirge

  • classic

  • HEY THE DISLIKE BAR IS BIGGER THEN JUSTIN BIBER'S PENIS!

  • @SoulxTaylor You shouldn't be looking at mr b. in the first place, let alone that part of him.

  • I Luv this song ♥

  • Lets play a game.. find the poe references. So far I've found....

"Behind This Mask Of Crimson Death" Mask of the red death or whatever it was again. (it's my favorite one but I keep confusing its name)

    "Murders In The Rue Morgue"

"Will Someday Cause This House To Fall" fall of the house of usher?

"Bricked Up" probably not a reference, but is reminds me of a casket of armontillado, always

    "Descent Into Maelstrom"

    "Redrum"

"Heart Under The Floorboards Beats For" telltale heart

  • @theonlyzdog

    and lonore nevermore the raven

    any others?

  • @theonlyzdog that is so cool. :)

  • @theonlyzdog Lenore, Nevermore. <- The Raven

  • @theonlyzdog isn't redrum from Steven King's "The Shining"

  • @Budalanakub

Dont know about that. It's a title of on of poes stories.

  • @theonlyzdog i didn't know that, i only saw that in "The Shinng", thanks for the info

  • @theonlyzdog Oh, goody, I'm not the only nerd here who noticed (nerd in a good way)! In fact, as I read the lyrics my first thought was "This song is one long Poe reference, isn't it? Cool!"

  • Like if the credits on CarnEvil brought you here :D

  • fuck yeah

  • Something about the synth reminds me of a dungeon crawl on the NES... which, incidentally, i quite like. Adds to the eeriness.

    What a great song.

  • 0:43

A FOREVER DREAM, WITHIN A DREAM

INCEPTION: RATED PG 13. STARTS JULY 16

  • @RotomRules64 Good, Im not the only one that saw that... >.>

  • ...... I never thought I would cream myself over a band other than Maryin Manson........ but here you go...... this is my first time hearing anything from or about this band and I love it...

  • I like curtis's sideburn's/ beard...i'm growing mine like that fuck it if the gf doesn't like it :D

  • I'm looking all over for an mp3 file of this D:

but about the actual song, it's funny how you can really tell that this is Creature Feature's music :D I love this band, it's unfair how unheard of they are.

  • I can't believe I squealed like a little girl when I heard:

"Behind This Mask Of Crimson Death"

I LOVE Poe and these guys to much!

  • @KanadeWolfDemon If you notice.. almost every line has a title of a story or poem by Poe.. You would of noticed it much earlier... If you "loved Poe so much"

    Lol.. Just sayin

  • @xxdisturbed741xx I know all the lyrics were refrences from Poe, I was just saying the Mask part is what gave it away for me cx

  • it's a great song

  • why 4,456 view?!?!?! they need a billion! oh well that just mean they wont be OVERUSED like Justin Bie-but crack XD thumbs up if u agree

  • stupid youtube isnt letting me watch any videos

  • what a unique band :D ima go legally download all there music :3

  • i really love the moment before he sings the refrain... i love this song the most, and then such horrible things^^ stay evil-> ♫

  • O.o this might be my new favorite band. I feel like I'm betraying my old favorites since I've only heard two songs by this Creature Feature....

  • Am I the only one who thinks the chorus is nostalgic? It sounds like another song... Either that or my mom used to have this song on her CD's. XDD Seriously, the chorus reminds me of SOMETHING. >.<

  • @13linkinparkluver13 Dreams are Made of These the tune sounds similar to that

  • @JeromeOokami Hmm... I can kinda see that, but I'm thinking something more exact. It could just be that I've heard this song a long time ago and I recognize it but forgot about it or something. But yeah, LOVE this song. :)

  • man, this band gives me so many IDEAS!!!!! Be sure to lock your windows at night...haha..ha

  • Murders in the rue morgue<3

  • @xBlaqkWingsx Edgar A. Poe? ftw

  • omg this guy has such a fuckin sexy voice ! ; )

  • Oval Portrait. ♥

  • amazing song, bravo, bravo

ill go buy a cd, but completely spend all my money on it just to give them extra lol

buy like 100 copies and spread it around school

hmm.. that actually sounds like a good idea

  • "Bet the Devil my head" ahaha... These guys really like their Po. Makes me wanna go rent a collection of them from the Library.

  • Indeed.

  • The head beating (Beginning and end) is from The Tell-Tale Heart.

  • heart beating, my bad. Lol...

  • the children do have some qualities of those in Edward Gorey's alphebet honestly most of them look like the children in the story...?

  • Ah~!

"Bricked up" = The Cask of Amontillado ;)

  • This is SO! Now Tied in my fav'es list with Voltaire. The band itself. Anyone know a store that might carry the CD Wal-mart? Doubt it

  • @ WorldofDisneyCraft - If you like Voltaire and Creature Feature, you should definetely try listening to Emilie Autumn.

  • @Samerinth

I think I have before. I have so much music on my computer I eventually forget who's who.

  • i prefer warcraft......

  • The references the I can catch...

"Certain City in The Sea" - Rl'yeh from Lovecraft.

"Valley of Unrest" - Probably "Valley of the shadow of death"

"Murders in the Rue Morgue" - Well, yeah.

"Cause this house to fall" - Fall of the House of Usher

"Under the Floorboards" - as has been said before, Telltale Heart.

And obviously, "Nevermore" is a reference to The Raven.

  • "The Oval Portrait upon the wall" - The Oval Portrait by E. A. Poe

I think that The Valley of Unrest is also a poem by E. A. Poe

"Burried Alive" - Usher's sister in The Fall of the House of Usher

Lenore is also from poems by E. A. Poe (his dead wife).

The story I think refers to The Fall of the House of Usher or mybe to The Raven.

  • Oh.. And "Dream Within a Dream" - E. A. Poe's poem

"City in the Sea" - also his poem

"Mask of Crimson Death" - Mask of the Red Death

    "Silence" - E. A. Poe's Sonnet to Silence

"The Spirits of the Dead" - also his poem

  • I can only think of one band that does similar stuff to these guys and that is the master of evil, the self-proclaimed gypsy man and soldier to beelzebob: Voltaire! hail to the kings of zombieland! hail you dead nobles of a fading gloom!

  • My favorite song by Voltaire, hands down, is Almost Human. Look it up. Can't link to it here for some reason...

  • @VvLestatvV i've heard everything by voltaire lol my absolute favorite is probably.... death death (devil devil devil evil evil evil) song lol long title

  • @VvLestatvV My favourite Voltaire songs are "When You're Evil" and "The Man Upstairs". I hope you've heard them D:

If not, I HIGHLY recommend them!

  • @VvLestatvV I LOVE THAT SONG. I can listen to that SEVERAL times in a row...~!!

  • @VvLestatvV 3 ppl where buried alive

  • There's also Emilie Autumn.

  • @oni0017 my fav Voltaire song is Land of the Dead.

  • @oni0017 woohoo!!! creature feature and voltaire FTW!!!

  • @oni0017 I wish I could favorite comments so bad right now.

  • I think when they said "Heart Under the Floorboards" They were referring to the "Tell Tale Heart".

  • They were. <3

  • omg, I love love this song cause of the Edgar Allen Poe referances.....Love the band soo much.

  • oooh nice comparison, I never though about that!

  • lol Sweet Dreams much?

  • well in their minds yes

  • haha the shining~<3 REDRUM FTW!!!

  • edgar allen poe ftw

  • YEah!!!

  • Heheh. I just got all the Edgar Allen Poe references. :D

  • I really adore this song, I can listen it over and over again <3

  • All the Poe references~ <3

  • anybody else think this would a be a good song for Rockband? Plenty of good parts for all the parts of the band.

  • YES! SO would the greatest show unearthed! A gory demise would be interesting to see because it goes pretty fast.

  • Hidan's theme?

  • Yeah, most likely.... XD

I feel bad for him. It must suck being stuck in a hole forever...

  • Anyone else think the chorus sounds like the one from "Sweet Dreams are Made of This"? :D

  • i do like hella

  • Odd you'd say that, I've had that song stuck in my head all day, then saw this one.

    And yes, yes it does.

  • I do.

  • Anyone else hearing Ls at the beginning of some of these words that start with vowels?

  • I've loved these for a year now, I have to say I'm happy we have this style of music without so much freaking cursing.

  • i should tell my freinds bout this band to up the veiws

wow, after hearing these songs, i relised, im dark

  • This is great, I really think they got talent! Whenever I listen to them, I think..dark, but CATCHY X]

  • Finally songs not about love and whores.

    xD

  • @shynnaam but is this much better? a premature bureial? Its easeir to explain hatred then love

  • This band is actually pretty good. Surprised I haven't heard more about them.

  • Luv this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could really see any of their songs in a Tim Burton film XD

They are really too addicting,if I don't listen to them at least once a day,I feel like I'm forgetting something,no joke :)

  • They probably could be in one of Tim Burton's films. That guy is crazy!

  • Very nice :) More people should listen to these guys, they're awesome!

  • its good

  • nice song >:3 i love it v_v

  • in 2 years these guys will be hot topic sell outs, and you'll be wining how media ruins everything. the next mcr.

enjoy while it's not a shame

  • THANK YOU! That was the point I was trying to make on another video. .. or was it this one? But my point was that if Creature Feature gets a record label, their music'll vanish off the internet and we won't be able to listen to them as much anymore.

  • u.u

The thought made me shit my pants.

But MCR was never good, so Hot Topic can keep them.

  • true, sad hot topic kept so many good bands though,

  • Comment removed

  • That's called references, MANY songs have them to MANY different things.

That concludes our lesson today, grade 2 class!

  • @timburtonfan: Uh, asshole, it's A TRIBUTE.

  • I pissed my pants...

  • yay i love that song <('3')^

  • Dear YouTubers:

I have gotten numerous requests to post the other songs on this CD. At first, this seemed like a good idea. As I thought about it, however, I decided that doing so would be unfair to the band. As such, the three videos I have posted right now are the only three I will be providing. If you like what you hear, buy the CD and help support the band.

That said, go drop about $12 on their CD and maybe they will make another!

    --VvLestatvV

  • exactly

  • @VvLestatvV good idea, but too many free torrent sites. you will lose your fight

  • Loooove this song !

    <33

  • This band rocks :D

  • I'm in love with the Poe references!

    POE ROCKS!

I'm just getting into this band, and I like them!

  • haha me too

  • same here.

  • the Certain City In The Sea sounds like a Lovecraft reference, which is a bit out of place in a song that's almost completely Poe.

  • reminded me more of Rapture from Bioshock. But yeah, it does sound out of place.

  • Thats exactly what I imagined, Feltorn.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, it does make a bit of sense; Lovecraft was influenced by Poe, and revered him as a talented horror writer.

  • Wasn't there a short story based on a cliff overlooking an ocean? I think it was called Annabelle Lee.

  • that one story by Eddger Allan Poe? (did i spell eddger right? :P)

  • Edgar is how it's spelled, and yes, I think that's the poem used to describe an ocean because Annabelle Lee died in a manor overlooking the sea.

  • Cf makes me want to read JTHM and Poe and i have neither T T

  • that sucks...

    but me either T^T

  • Haha. :p I do.

  • Redrum is Murder backwards... I think it was used in one of Steven King's books or something.

  • That's correct. From what I remember, it's from The Shining.

  • this band needs to make another album....

  • I heard they are

    its coming out soon!

  • I now love this group

  • Comment removed

  • The beat sounds me of Annie Lennox's "Dreams are made of these"

  • this is like my 20th time listening to it....... i'm definatly going to have it stuck in my head tomorrow

  • I wanted to find these... though I'm not much of a Poe fan so I wouldn't get that many. Though I caught a few just from listening a few times. Also "The Shining" is by Stephen King so I don't think they are /all/ Poe. And yeah I think that is a Raven Reference tho I could be mistaken like you.

  • It's deffinately reference to The Raven. "Quoth the Raven 'Nevermore'".

  • The "Nevermore" part of the song comes from it. [forgot to add that]

  • "Murders In The Rue Morgue" is another reference to Poe. It was the first short detective story. Very creepy.

"Heart Under The Floorboards" refers to one of his most famous shorts, the Tell Tale Heart

    also, I think

"The Oval Portrait Upon The Wall

Will Someday Cause This House To Fall" and "premature burial" are both references to the Fall of the House of Usher. Another incredibly creepy story.

  • I have a few of the Poe stories. I enjoy a good scary story, so the Poe stories are some of my favorites. Since I read the stories, I caught most of the references in this. You got the references with Rue Morgue, the Tell Tale Heart, and House of Usher. When it talks about the "mask of crimson death", it's referring to his story, The Masque of Red Death. It even has the name of the story Descent Into the Maelstrom.

  • I've read them all too! He's probably my favorite author and poet. My favorite's the Masque of the Red Death.

  • Oh yeah, that's a brilliant story.

  • I now have a site dedicated to annotating things full of references; I'll be doing this song, and other Creature Feature songs, soon. If anyone wants the address PM me.

  • this is completely random

but if you like zombies and Steven King, read the book Cell, its a kickass zombie book that reads fast and easily.

and yeah, I'm pretty sure there are a few Poe references. These guys are smart.

  • The ENTIRE SONG is Poe refs, dude.

  • lol,

yeah I realize that now after hearing it a few more times

    thanks lol

  • The line "Silence and Shadow what I adore" is a reference to Poe's stories "Silence: A Fable" and "Shadow: A Parable".

  • "Annabelle Lee" "Elderodo" "The Pit and the Pendulm"

  • this song makes me all warm and fuzzy inside......OMG i'm turning into a teddy bear!!!!!!!

  • this band is fn amzing

the drawing reminds me of penny arcade a little

  • The drawing is based on a drawing by Edward Gorey, from his book The Gashlycrumb Tales.

The band ended up using the book as the basis for the song A Gorey Demise (both are poems about children with names from A to Z who died in some strange way).

  • How the hell did I write "Tales"...weird, Freudial slip or something...it's "Tinies", in any case.

  • How did I write "Freudial" slip? It's "Freudian."

I just can't get anything right these days, can I?

  • ill have to check that out

  • Now i have to get that album Edward Gorey is an awesome writer or was rather

  • Such Horrible Things as well please.

  • what i caught was: fall of the house of usher, the raven, one line could be lenore, dream within a dream, annabel lee, murder in the rue morgue, a line that could be the black cat, and masque of the red death

  • Spirits of the Dead, Cask of Amontillado, and Descent into the Maelstrom too!

  • You left out Never Bet the Devil Your Head.

It's funny because Never Bet the Devil Your Head isn't even a horror story, it's a parody.

Poe, as one of the Dark Romantics, was very critical of the Transcendentalist movement of the time, and people like Emerson and Thoreau. As a result, he wrote Never Bet the Devil Your Head, a parody of Transcendentalist writing. Yet STILL it made it into this song.

    Edgar Allen Poe allusions rock.

  • I love song! Itz got bunch of Poe thingz in it! Proves their a good band!

  • I love how it's (as far as I know) about Poe. He's one of my favorite authors.

  • I really like this song, it's great :D! But where can I download it? Please help me if you want :).

  • Check this:

Google "Any Video Converter" and download the free version

There is an option to download YouTube vids by URL. Do that, and select the output as ".WAV" and you have the song

Then, if you want to convert it to mp3, get "Any Audio Converter"

  • yes yes yes plz more more more

  • Hello viewers! In case some of you were wondering, the reason I don't have more videos up is because my computer crashed after only getting 3 up. I never though I would get this many views, so I didn't bother remaking them. That said, I need feedback.

If you would like to see more Creature Feature videos put up, tell me! I'd be more than happy to do that for you guys. Comments, messages, anything is welcomed!
