AWESOME concept and great intro!!!! Maybe you can even add some shaking to the camera in the end where the octapus is pulling the cameraguy to itself.. otherwise I think this is one of the best VFX reels ive seen in terms of storytelling!

See you have to act like it was Cloverfield... The debris falling down... The Camera man and Reporter would have ran for shelter... Acting was horrible... But Effects were good.

Effects were good, acting could have been better. One thing I thought was missing was the glass and debris from the first smashing sound. When the first tentacle smashes out the window (not seen), the panning up shot should have seen the debris falling. Also, there needed to be the sound of them smashing into the ground as the camera is panned up. Finally, it's somewhat unlikely for the cameraman to still be alive after that large chunk of rock hit him. I would have opted for a smaller piece.
