  • Static Active Stretching is a workout in and of itself. You may schedule days where static active stretching is the reason and purpose of your workout. Yes, it is that vigorous and challenging. Don't let Fallon fool you. She was exhausted after this shoot. This said, there are pros and cons in doing static active stretching before or after other physical activity. It depends on the level and/or amount and the purpose of the static active stretching.

  • Thanks! Is this better before or after a workout?

  • Hi witnessforfitness, Static Active Stretching can be a part of a stretch workout. Or as a target over other types of flexibiltiy it is best emphasized at the end of your workout. Like other types of stretching this style may also be used as a warmup. Or to build up your cold flexibility. Cold flexibility is defined as what you can safely do without a warm up of any kind. Static Active Stretching can improve your ability to perform a stretched position cold without being warmed up.
