The scene in the robotics laboratory was shot in a Polish hospital. The city sequences were shot in Paris and Century City, Los Angeles. The car chase scene I believe was shot on the Californian coast. Castle Moszna as you mentioned was another location, while the interiors were filmed at Aleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studios, Kiev in the-then USSR.

This film was made during the height of the cold war. Poland was under the occupation and control of the USSR at the time.

The subtitles are actually Estonian. The whole movie was made mostly by Polish and Estonian movie makers.

Régóta keresem ezt a filmet, gyerekkoromban halálra izgultam magam rajta. Nálunk "Robotokkal a Szaturnusz körül" címmel adták le. Gondolom a "Pirx" hallatán nem olyan sokan nézték volna meg, még emlékezhettek akkor a magyar sorozatra :)

:) yes i'm sure, but is not important. The film is produced by Zaspoly Filmowe (Poland) and Tallinnfilm (CCCP).This is a very good film. The actors are half polish and half From Soviet Union, Main Star is From Soviet Union. Ciao. matteo

Thanks, I saw few Polish name, but I thought it's a coincidence, sadly yet I never seen this movie, just the Hungarian version, it's so funny, with the most childish tricks ever seen on movie. It has a little cult in Hungary. A super-low cost movie. Really worth to see it. :D

Are you sure, the titles and staff are all Russian. Stanislaw Lem was Polish. This movie is very clearly Soviet.

Myślę że i na Wgrzech podobał się nasz film. W moim kraju miłosnicy filmów sci-fi skazani są własciwie tylko na filmy z innych krajów. Produkcje tego rodzaju w naszej kinematografi są wielką rzadkością . Ten widziałem wiem że ma trochę wad ale mi się podbał.

Jak na tamte czasy film był zrobiony świetnie. Pamiętam jak go oglądałem w wczesnej podstawówce, wrył mi się w pamięć i zostałem na resztę życia zarażony Lemem :) I bardzo dobrze.

@zielonamacka ta, ja to widziałem (wyciągnąłęm tatę do kina bo to na plakacie byli kosmonauci) przed Gwiezdnymi Wojnami, to był szok jak mu się ręce urywają...

nam nawet orginalną płytkę w markecie kupioną, treść się broni, reszta mniej ale mnie się podoba do dziś.

a részlet elején nem semmi a díszlet, a kor színvonalához (pláne a szovjetekhez) képest nagyon ütős, tényleg megállhatott benne nem kevés zseton mire összehozták... egyébként 5:56-nál elég durva hangja van a mocinak :)
