all I know is that the experience will reopen at a mall in downtown Vegas. I don't know any specifics. I hope they reopen both rides.

This summer will be my first trip to Vegas, going for a friend's bachelor party. I have been looking forward to seeing the Star Trek Experience in Vegas for years now, and its closed?!?! I certainly do hope that they pull through with their plans for neonopolis and it reopens by the time I get there - its not often that I travel across the country like this! (I live in Pittsburgh)

It opened in January 1998, closed in September 2008, and was scheduled to reopen in the Neonopolis Mall on May 8, 2009 in time for the premiere of the Star Trek movie. It has since been pushed back to 2010. Star Trek : The Experience will re-open in Neonopolis mall in 2010. It was hoped to have a phase open by the premier of the Star Trek film, but those plans were unsuccessful.

If it's Big Enough they could bring back Both Rides with a New one having to do with Romulan's because of the New Movie and they said that the will not get rid of Quark's Bar or The Museum of The Future I just hope there is still Borg it was the Coolest thing about the Attraction

Thank you so much for posting this...I've added it to my favorites. I visited a couple of weeks ago, for one last hoorah! It was so saddening. I took the backstage tour, which was worth the steep price tag. I will miss it dearly and cannot imagine Las Vegas without it.

I went on both rides few months ago, had a great time, one of the highlights of the trip. It would be a great shame if the Experience closed. Next time in Vegas I'd definitely go on it again..

The actors & staff involved were all great, specially Motog and Quan. Will they close Quark's bar and the shop too?

We actually went on both the rides twice in the same day, had dinner there and then looked at everything in the shop for ages...

I think their problem lies within putting the experience in Las Vegas...not exactly a wonder trip heading out just for that.

no offense but I don't agree, there is much more to Vegas then just gambling, drinking and hookers. A friend and I went out there for only 2 days and there was so much we wanted to do and see we would have needed at least 5 days do it all. I will admit the Experience is the reason I went to Vegas for the first time and I will miss it. But it being closed will by no means stop me from going again. I talked to one of the enployees there and he said it was making money.

Im coming to see in in about 5 days time... 3D is film has been around for decades. Alice saying had never seen it before and that is was amazing does not make the experience seem better to me - just that she is a bit out of date.
