@banditfugsook u wish :) that's driver ability, not car efficiency...ferrari is ferrari, there's no BMW,Porsche, Mercedes, VW who can reach their level.
@MinimalMoments umm thats completely false porsches are way ahead of any ferrari in the racing category so and even in every driving so dont go saying shit u dont know about
@happytreefriends5lol lol...i won't waste time to explain you that ferrari is better...just feel free to like porsche or whatever...those are CARS...ferrari is pleasure.
@MinimalMoments ferrari is one of the top companys for technology but that is what drags it down ferraris are so packed full of technology that u dont feel like ur the driver in porsches u are a part of the car and the car does not tell u wat to do i know this because my uncle has both a gt3 and a california and i have had the opportunity to drive them both so give some HARD evidence that ferrari is better.
@happytreefriends5lol well i don't believe u and your "brother story". u want a HARD evidence? just ask 200 people: Ferrari or Porsche? then ull' get a HARD answer. I don't wanna seem a stupid italian who loves ferrari because it's produced here...i love ferrari above my citizsenship.
How can you say that while driving a ferrari u don't feel like you're the driver!?
@happytreefriends5lol Top companys for technology wtf. Poscehe had the first electric car 1898, 1st 4 wheel drive car 1900, 1st company to use ring type synchromesh gears for shifting 1952, 1st company to use double sided hot galvinized steel bodies for rust 1975, had a double clutch transmission in 1981! And have somthing (I cant think of the name) which slows the insde wheel with light braking so it turn in very sharply and can hold the apexSo what great technology has ferrari came out with?
pardon the redundancy, but it's a hobby race, nobody's getting paid to beat on their cars, hence, all the drivers on the track aren't pushing the cars, the ferrari lets the porsche past cause it's not worth crashing over. 928s are way cooler though.
Those 928's have a throaty sound! Never was a fan of Italian engineering. It's the Germans that have their act together, except for vw jetta made from 93 and up. Transmissions were junk!
Very cool to see someone tracking an obviously modded 928! They are underrated cars, probably mostly because it's such a pain to maintain them. This was overtaking by braking, not brute HP, but the 928 obviously had a fair amount of juice to hang with a much lighter, 400+ HP Ferrari.
the 928 is pricey to fix but once you get past the 2 or 3 major focuses you have a nice car with good power. I push 420+ and it seem that these cars are lower than that. My car is madness compared to these but then again I dont have thousands of dollars in suspension work and tires. 951s forever
these are two of my favorite cars, the 355 and 928, both obviously brutally fast, ferrari though, i must admit, is prettier, bit its funtion not for right? to some degree of course.

I hated my 81' 928.Parts were insanely expensive, it dripped oil (I hear most of em' do), only ran on 7 cylinders most of the time, had a battery drain, slower than shit around town. But hey, it was a Porsche :)
parts are cheap. Ive race this one for 6 years now, 90 race days, no dnf's and always driven it to and from the race track!
original engine in it as well, 20 years old and never been apart. no leaks, no issues and would have been a top 10 speed world challenge GT car in 1999 still being 15 years old!
Parts are cheap?? What are you a millionaire? $80 dist. cap,$1000 stock catalytic converter, $1000 hood,$500 door shells, etc, etc. Google search, no one agrees with you that parts are cheap.
Yea and Mazda tries to sell the fuel injectors for my RX7 at 450 a piece when you can get them $75-100 a pop from aftermarket companies... Parts are always cheaper when dealing w/ aftermarket companies... :)
Mind you, that Ferrari didn't look stock either. He didn't actually manage to overtake it anyway, he just braked later into the corner, which doesn't really count!
The Ferrari was so embarrassed, that it self-immolated after the race.

Ferrari simply does not know how to brake properly. Could have killed the 928 if he knew how to drive properly

was that a real race, or just laps?
i love the 928s but its very shocking to see them over taking that ferrari, plus the not being able to overtake the red car in front of it
il looks like just freindly pass, but nice sounds on the 928

You can find these cars at salvage yards everywhere nowadays, so parts are cheap(er)

No you cant. 928s are rare cars. BUt, parts are cheap because there are several aftermarket companies devoted to the 928.

you are comparing apples to oranges then. Your car is obviously not stock.

why would it be a bad first car and also im getting another car to race like a civic, a celica, or an eclipse soo its all good
anarchykid123 4 years ago
Well, unless you have a good source of income to buy parts for that thing, you probably won't be able to afford maintaining it. :D
And Civics/celicas/eclipses suck for racing.
