@nyerndc The Beatles were great in concert considering the technology of the time. They had inadequate PA systems and no monitors. I saw them live ten times between 1963-1966 and the worst conditions were at Wembley where I saw them three times. There just the four of them with 100 watt amplifiers that were not miked up. The PA was the house PA they used for the ice shows with speakers only in the ceiling and 10,000 girls screaming. No wonder they got pissed off and gave up performing live.
@nyerndc They generated the most fantastic atmosphere in their live concerts and thats what live concerts are all about. And then in the studio they were streets ahead of everybody. you are probably referring to the crummy equipment they had to use and then the sound of screaming which was louder than them. Not easy to sing and play with that against you. I still love listening to them live - even the hamburg stuff is just full of energy.
@nyerndc because you've only heard the Beatles live up to 1966. How good do you think the technology was then douche bag????Listen to Paul McCartney now in 2011 with modern technology and tell me he sucks.
These guys are GREAT!!! Seen them many, many times and for the people who bitch about them...for your information,Rolling Stone magazine called then the "number one Beatles tribute band on earth". They have their act down and the reason they don't do the Beatles later songs (like I Am The Walrus) is because they do up-tempo songs...songs that will keep the audience's interest...and I wouldn't want it any other way...
This Tribute Band is pretty good. You can tell they studied The Beatles' movements and mannerisms pretty well. But, to me, the original FAB FOUR, are the best, the original, and the ones us fan enjoy the most.
@brino182 I guess some folks like--as is their right and privilege--the cover band over the original, but I think I speak for the vast majority of Beatle fans, preferring the original Fab Four over anyone else. Again, that's my opinion, but I'm sure I'm not nearly the only one holding this opinion!!
Have you even seen them live?? They are WAY better than the Fab Four. You probably don't know anything about them. I haven't heard anything about the fab four selling out Carnegie Hall 8 times going on 9. Have You?
These guys are pretty damn good, but let's not let facts cover our eyes, the Fab Four are mind blowingly close to the real look and sound of the Beatles, closer than these guys for sure, end of.The guys are still at what they do & yu can't argue with Carnegie Hall.
IF I had to put in order of best to worst this is my list:
1. 1964 the tribute
2. The Return
3. The Fab Four
4. Beatlmania Now!
I have to disagree with you on The Fab Four .... I don't really think they have the total look down. They don't have all the right amps and plus they do the show like a Broadway show production. why can't they just come out and play the song live like the Beatles Like 1964 the tribute does.
Hi Steve.I still would disagree.I actually whent to see The Fab Four in Liverpool, last August,as part of the Beatle festival. They had all the correct gear,Amps, drums, guitars, the lot,so i'm not sure where you get the idea they don't have all the right amps etc??.I really thought i had been taken back to the Ed Sullivan show.I'm a fanatic, i look for every detail & i really couldn't find any fault,Ardy who plays Paul, is the closest McCartney iv'e seen.
@SteveMjazz I agree. I've seen all these Beatle bands and 1964 the tribute is the best. Seen them live many times. Nobody has the whole package down pat like 1964 The Tribute.
Had it not been for the Beatles no one would ever care for the tribute band. The Beatles could not have sold Carnegie 8 times - they did not give this many concerts over there generally. Musically? Tribute band is quite good - but far from the Fab Four perfection.

they seem a bit too fat and well fed..
our real beatles were kind of starving for everything in the beginning...!
Oh well.

Excellent job! Much better than some of the Elvis impersonators I've seen.
In a perfect world, Elvis and the Beatles would still be alive, and the impersonators would be dead!
