@xChaosBrotherx Of course it is more accurate than Tony Hawk. Watching a microwave fry is more accurate to skating than Tony Hawk. Anyway, I love the Skate games and couldn't imagine playing anything else for killing time or just having fun. After playing quite some time I can say that I have more than the required skill level. But you have to admit, vert is fucking tedious, frustrating and hard to use consistently in any way. There's a reason it isn't played much online. It's simply not fun.

@xChaosBrotherx ah yes tony hawk. i remember the days when it combined (a bit of) realism with fun rather then what it is now. Starting a helicopter by grinding it is more realistic then blowing up lightbulbs by grinding on a powerline. Tony Hawks used to be accessable not crap. now its the butt of jokes and ridiculous peripherals. Skate has taken over, and considering the current gen THPS games, im glad.

the in game tutorial is so weird. first playthrough of the career mode, I pumped using the left stick, pushing it forward. on my third go on career mode, for a brief moment, when I was trying to pump to complete the challenge it showd both the trigger buttons (LT/RT) It wasnt up long enough for me to read the caption, but I thought hey, can I pump using shoulder buttons? turns out you can, just tap either of the triggers at the base of the QP and youll pump without fear of launching forwards.

Tony Hawks series are different than EA Skate series. Skate is made for realistic skating, and Tony Hawk´s XYZ is just for unreal sh*t what you cant do in real life :D So, I like both. But i have only PC and never played Skate, but it looks awesome :) I hope y´all understand me and sorry for bad english ;)

Can you also pump with the right stick? Cause the skater does move forward on his board, and if you use the left stick my skater seems to move forward off the ramp and lands at the top of the ramp. Very frustrating.
