@niamhorourke - it doesn't really "mean" a word, per-se - it's from the New Orleans "Mardi Gras Indian" musical tradition. It's a chant that the Indians sang when they marched - as well as songs like Iko Iko, Indian Red, Fiyo On The Bayou, etc... That's Mean Willie Green on the big drumset behind Cyril Neville...one unbelievable drummer...I saw the Neville's do this song as a slow boogie roll...I'll never forget it. Big Chief Jolly!
