Lampard better than Cesc??? Are you on drugs? Lampard can do one thing better than most players in the world, and that's strike it from 20 yards... BUT, that's the only thing he does well. It's like having a striker in midfield. Midfielders need to be more complete. Cesc has better: movement off the ball, vision, first touch, range and quality of passing. Lampard needs to be accomodated, that's why Endland lacks balance when he plays. Cesc can control any midfield he plays with... at only 22!

To summarise: Cesc = more goals + assists. The stats dont lie. Cesc has scored TWICE as many goals from open play & overall has taken part in 6 more goals having played 2 fewer games in the prem. You lost this argument a long time ago. Cesc was out for 4 months last season and still finished 2nd highest with assists after van Persie. He got the same number of assists as Lampard but played in 15 fewer league games.

Work out the ratios mate. Cesc played a part (creating or scoring) in 26 goals in 32 games... that's one every 1.23 games (111 minutes). Lampard played a part in 18 goals in 24 games... that's one every 1.33 games (120 minutes).

Deco isnt a shaddow of his former self, but he's still a much more acomplished, technically gifted playmaker far beyond Lampard. As for Riquelmi, can you really compare the two?
