Some conservative churches don't celebrate the Christ aspect of the holiday for that reason. I understand everybody's point of view on it, but as for me... it's Christ. Hate? You can't say marry Christmas to other Christmas celebraters? Why does it bother you? When you say Merry Christmas, you're talking to the other Christians. By your logic Jews can't wish each other Happy Passover because of Easter. Or if some cult also has a holiday around that time. Some brainwashed Christian idiot said they would've liked it better if it said Merry Christmas, instead of Happy Holidays. I corrected them and told them it's fine the way it is because Xmas is not the only holiday in Dec. AND THAT FACT REMAINS. I am not saying one can not say merry Xmas. Go ahead and say it. What I am defining is what Happy Holidays means. It includes all holidays in Dec.

Or if some black non-Christians complained about Kwanzaa. I think you make very valid points. Happy Holidays is totally sufficient...Christmas may be the biggest, but it isn't the only holiday. It shouldn't trump other people's beliefs. And just from a financial standpoint, it's probably a bit more prudent for Mickey D's and other franchises not to be so exclusive in their wishes ;) Some of you need to lighten up a bit.
