the blue buttons on the right are for what department you are in. I learned this is my Retailing class at school.

it will be different for where you work but for me it was If the person is buying anytthing food related you would press the #1 blue button. If the person was buying any clothes you would press the #2 blue button. etc etc

@Misstinysh the blue buttons add the decimal in. And when you make change you do not hit the blue buttons because thats how the register differentiates between prices and customer money. The green button is the cash button, which opens the drawer to make change and put the money in the register.
