You know you could have repeated the process of destroying the boxes, get ammo, go back to save, and when you get back to the room where the boxes were, you find that they're back again. Repeat the process until you have fully replenished your ammo. ;)

I discovered that the Dark Beam inflicts a surprisingly large amount of damage (more than the Light Beam) on Dark Samus. The dark particles from a charged blast will chase her around the room and continue to cause damage. It is tricky to land a hit on her, though, because Dark Beam shots travel rather slowly. Try hitting her with it right after she launches herself at you like a missile.

The name, "Dark Samus" is misleading. She's not actually weak against Light Beam, but if you meant it works good on her because it's fast, and has homing ability, then I would agree.

My friend did the epicest thing here:

Dark Samus was pinballing around, and my friend was charging a Super Missile. Since she's really hard to hit as a Boost Ball, he decided to just let it go.

Just as Dark Samus deflected off of something and came straight at him. She took the Super Missile dead-on at point blank range and launched backwards through a pillar, which exploded on impact.

But then she fired some Phazon through the smoke that froze him solid. Dark Samus wasn't beaten yet!

When I fought her, I was doing rather well dodging her moves and damaging her. But when she destroyed every pillar in the room with her lazer (like in the video), she suddenly became twice as hard. Maybe it's just me, but perhaps she was sending me a message saying "Don't f*** with Dark Samus"?

Contrary to most beliefs, it's really not all that better. "Dark" samus isn't really a form of Ing, it just indicates that's she's Samus' evil twin. She is a being of Phazon after all, not darkness.

Although there's nothing wrong with using the Light beam since that homes in on the target.
