This song is absolutely amazing live. Like at 7:04. That's so much more groovy live than it is in the studio version, I love it. And at 9:27 where they put that reggae groove in there, that's pretty cool. But my favorite is the extended ending. This gives me chills every time I hear it.

You know whats funny? everyone that i know that grew up with rush actually prefers DT over them after I introduce these early albums. DT is so much more diverse and there musical abilities surpass all others. plus MP drumming on this album is un-comparable. Anyone can cover a rush song, but no one can run through this song in one go and have it near 100%. Its insanely tricky but good, it almost seems effortless.

Why do people compare Porcupine Tree to Dream Theater? There not even technically close. Mike is so technically fluent on this album, And this song is one of those songs that no one dares to cover on youtube. Gavin is technical, But his playing is predictable. Its too dry and stale, And his sound has alot to do with it. Theres not one song they play that can rival this masterpiece. I mean come on, This is a complete mindfuck for drummers!..
