It's taken years for this transition, but I feel like there's only a minority of us truely seeing our world while the others just follow along. Not alone, but it's sometimes difficult to be entirely rational when some claiming the same do in fact buy into alternative conspiracies when they reject others. Carl Sagan saved me. So naturally I've grown into a scientific worldview. Our profound truth, whatever it is, is unknown to all so I think Watts is wise and holds some great ideas, but I do shy away from positive claims without evidence.

School sucks and the system sucks, but every now and then a professor breaks the mold. Individuals make the difference and people make the change. I'm currently taking a class called Political Georgraphy where we're learning the truth of the system we live in, the negative of Capitalism, and true reasons for war. He requires no exams, only thought pieces and we're reading one cheap book by David Harvey. The bulk of the world sucks, but there's very few true things keeping me here

That allows politicians to stifle their business competition and it allows corporations to use the government as a weapon. If you remove government from the economy you don't have this problem.

Hicks says "their agenda is to keep us stupid and apathetic" that is why public education is a bad idea it is a conflict of interest.
If the government does not regulate the economy then these corporations cannot do what Hicks says they are doing ( which they are).
