for example that live "DNA" bullshit is just to get ppl hyped. i ask ppl why they're getting live and they say "oh that DNA thing looks so sick" when it has no impact on the game whatsoever and its incorrect half the time, and 2k9 has the same exact feature but they dont market the shit out of it cause they know the real basketball fans actually play it and dont get fooled by stupid advertising. jumpshots in live are all luck, theres no timing involved, and 2ks hot shooting feature is way better

nba live has been pathetic since 2006. the gameplay is atrocious. anybody looking for a real basketball game look no further than the 2k series, miles ahead of NBA Live "market and have cool advertising to draw players in" gay strategy. the cool presentation of live will throw u off, cause the gameplay is fucking terrible. if they cant get it right this year, nba live should no longer be a franchise anymore. anybody that thinks live is better, you are fucking blind or dont know basketball.

i agree. 2006 was the last decent version of this series, and even that version wasnt that great overall, it just improved on the garbage that was offered to us in 2005. For me the last good version was 2004 when they first added the jump stop. Since then it has been steadily going downhill. I used to buy this game every year bc it was the best nba game on the market, but honestly nba live has alot of work to do before i would invest in this series again.

2k is better and more realistic. It doesn't mean NBA live sucks but, it means 2k is more realistic, not perfect but, more better. Live 09 is a good game. I own both. I know 2k is better but, you have to admire NBA lives DNA NBA live 365. Hopefully we get a better game next year and 2k will be really competing with NBA live.

People looking to buy this game, they both have their pro's and cons, I have both, personally I like 2K9 a fair bit better. I'm not buying live next year, 2K all the way for me now. Live has better graphics and facial expressions, but the 2K ones hold their own, and 2K's gameplay shits on Live's.

not really draining shots is very limited of the 360 whall loading but sometimes with ai youll hit an un reslic half court fadyway as the screen is turning about 6 times in a row but its really no big diffence nor does it madder and for the record ai jason kapno and derik rose are the only ones ive noticed make reliully inpossable tunr around js

I have 2k9 and I 'rape' lol. I went thru a 82 game association season on the hardest difficulty and went 81-1 with the Nuggets. I've pretty much perfected the Nuggets guys shots.

One HUGE problem I have with NBA Live 09 is close range shots. Even if I'm going for a wide open lay up, there's still a 50/50 chance that I'll miss. Also, whenever I shoot the ball against the backboard, I miss nearly every time.

IGN's review of NBA Live 09 is not only wrong, it's BS. 2K9 is completely broken, especially online. The online interface is unplayable, glitchy and broken. No where in IGN's review did they mention the online problems of 2K9. I regret spending 60 bucks on NBA 2k9 but luckily I have Live. It plays great both online and offline.
