Moi is making sense if only he can be listened to. The current constitution can be ammended. The problem with this new constitution call is its vulnerability to political influence, especially being used to beef up votes around and during election time. There is already talks for "minimum reforms". This is nonsense. It is to say that the issue of constitution change will be dragged for ever, and as moi says, they will go round in circles until "doomsday" - whatever that means!
For Moi, it has always been doomsday whenever he is not the president... read some of his speeches when he was president and talking about what will happen when he is gone
It is easy to say that the Constitution can be changed BUT actually making the change is another story altogether.
We could easily be ruled by 'mob rules' if a clique be it an overzeolous parliament or these 'experts' are allowed to totally complete the constitution change!
Lets do it one rule at a time so we keep up the with the pace of change.
Kitonga, I dont trust your sorry ass face. Moi shut up, you are the cause of all these problems. Rahid please stop reporting from the middle of the road one day you will not be able to finish your sentence. What is it with you and roads
As a Kalenjin, I FULLY SUPPORT MOI's imprisonment - he should not deceive us!! Kenyans really have short memories - was it not Saitoti's group under Moi that went round and round the country and then when they produced the constitution they said what Kenyans want is what was best for KANU and single party? Have we forgotten? Every time we forgive leaders like Moi, the ones who will follow - like Kibaki - will also steal and commit evil knowing that they will NOT be called to account!!!
Yes. I strongly share Mois opinion. I have also continuously been asking myself all these years, why cant Parliament amend the sections of the Constitution that are not desirable? What do we elect a Parliament for in Kenya? Can somebody with knowledge of Political Science give me an answer: Why is it not possible to amend the current Constitution?
Moi????????????????? SiasaBURE this one... you think in your right mind Moi really wants a new constitution for Kenyans? Then why did Kenyans have to die fighting for a new constitution while he was president?
I just thut he made a valid point...amending the document 'one amendment at a time'. See all these johnnies come lately were actually Moi's attack boys YET they're still the ruling class today. Now, I reckon best way is move one step at a time so we keep up or else they will screw up the doc.

With doomsday, Moi implies Milton Keynes in the long run, when we shall all be dead.

Moi's opinion does not count....at least not for me and many many Kenyans who would be happier to see him at Kamiti.

I find the concept of changing or amending the constitution 'one amendment at a time' appealing.
These 'experts' are suspiciously over confident and knowing them they could be manipulated to deliver a 'biased' document.
I'll go with Moi on this!
