Ya no thanks. The tiny screen of the iPhone makes it tedious to read even a small email let alone a news story, magazine, newspaper. And in typical idiocy of management, you can't hide this piece of crap. I am sure the reasoning will be something stupid like "we can't remove Internet Explorer because it is too tightly integrated", or in this case "newsstand is too tightly integrated into the App Store".

My next phone will be Android based for this reason.

Hope this is an option because I have never subscribed to anything through iBooks nor do I plan to. Seems like a waste of space to me.

honestly i dont read news on papers i think its a great idea to put it on my iphone and i will get news subscriptions there ;)

I really like the idea of newsstand, one central location for all subscription services, i think its a good idea. I am sure i will take advantage of the application.
