Yngwie who? Yngwie FUCKING Malmsteen. Thats who! :). I love this song and the album. Its a true masterpiece. I really want to see Yngwie on the tour for this album. That most be so awesome. This is real Metal. I love that Yngwie dont just play one kind of music. Some albums are metal, some are classical, some are rock, some are everything in between.I love it. Thats why i don´t get borred and can listen to him almost every day.
For me is Yngwie Malmsteen a god. Amazing! Rock on Yngwie
@TheE1961 I agree! I was "introduced" to Yngwie in '85 (I was 15 then)-via a music video show called Radio 1990. The video they showed was "I'll See The Light Tonight." HOLY COW! At THAT point or time, I'd NEVER HEARD or SEEN guitar playing like THAT in my life! I was FLOORED! Right now, I'm 41 and am, STILL, amazed at Yngwie's music/ambition! Unfortunately, in my opinion, due to (such) a competitive music market/business, a lot of people are, TO THIS DAY, hesitant to promote him!
@AngelofAnguish I'm not sure if it's due too a competitive music market and i cant think of what it could be but there's something that's just not right.
Love it when he tunes to low D...(D flat for Yngwie). He's the king of harmonic minor and the 5th mode. Low D; bass drum and bass guitar in sync...doesn't get much heavier and much better.
the Kyrie Eileison is my great aunt's last name. Was also a Mister Mister song. NOt that I listened to that sort of music or anything. lol SHREDDING guitar here...of course...and "ripping" vocs.
Yngwie's guitar skills are mind boggling... I have to keep listening to him because of this... But his songs would be so much more enjoyable if his lyrics didn't suck so bad...
The beginning reminds me of Kyrie Eleison, because that's what it is. Fates Warning also has a song called Kyrie Eleison that starts with the same gregorian chant, also an awesome song.
Finally a song where he's not killing us with arpeggio's through 5:00 minutes of music and it sounds great,he really has got to lay off the constant arpeggio's thing it gets so overkill nothing left to prove Yngwie except your ability to write other kinds of music and show us some diversity the other greats all have.
No real definition on the guitars before the main solo and it's pretty messy from a compositional standpoint, which kind of kills it for me. Owens sings his ass off, though. Totally godly performance by him here and on "Critical Mass."
After all these years as a "guitar god" I just don't get why they are getting a better sound on the productions. - God, I have better sound on my music made in my apartment..
I like the Gregorian Chant intro and the song is so beastly Yngwie and Ripper are so awesome together!

The amps on this song are about to explode! What a sound... It's not the speed I'm amazed by, it's the mood, the attitude... Yngwie kicks asses

His lyrics are repetitive on purpose. They are about worshipping satan. There's a reason why he always writes the same lyrics.
