Actually the Brontosaur was just the same species named twice, so they went back to the original name Apatosaurus. This occurred in about 1908? In the 70s though, they realized the skull they believed associated with it wasn't, when they realized the true skull was more like a Diplodocus skull.

I knew what you were doing and agreed with it fully. I was just explaining the mix up was not that the animal never existed,but that a smaller segment of bone was named Apatosaurus first, and then a more full skeleton was later found and described as a new sauropod (Brontosaurus) by the same guy (OC Marsh) that discovered the Apatosaurus. Tradition has it that the name goes to what was named first. This all occurred over a hundred years ago or so...

Because it is extremely easy to tell the difference between a bat and a pterosaur. For example, the whole hand (as in all the digits) are involved in forming the wing foil in bats, and only one digit forms the front edge of the wing foil in pterosaurs. From head to tail, they are markedly different in structure.

Pterosaurs are NOT dinosaurs...... They are just flying reptiles. Plain and simple. The don't have the necessary bones to be classified as dinosaurs + dinosaurs use feathers to fly, NOT skinned wings like Pterosaurs.
