It was a good game but Not like all the other silent hills. I liked being able to defend myself not just running away. the running scenes are kinda fun and moderately frightening. puzzles were good too so yeah I would rate it a little higher like maybey 7.8 or sumthing

well i cant wait to start playing this though im still skeptical since ive played all the others in the series and this one deffinitly ignores the normal pattern though the fresh take on modern survival in the town seems good and a new interface with dialouge decisions id say its vutting edge though im still not happy with the fact everyone got a new look and that unlike previous games no weapins can be used along with free thinking communicateing monsters deffinitly adds a challange

Yeah. Obviously, don't go in expecting the good old Team Silent-style SH(as much as I love it...), because you will be disappointed. It really is a great departure from the series. This is definitely one of those games not everyone will enjoy, so try out a demo/ rent it first. As a SH game, of course, it feels lacking. But I think if you look at it alone, Shattered Memories is a pretty worthy game.

Beat the game today, and my absolutely loved it. It's not for everyone, but for those who like it they will adore it. It's kinda' like a psychological thriller in an evolved Point and Click Adventure game.

I fell in love with this game. Just recently beat it the first time around and I'm already giving it a second go. Everthing from the game's highly detailed graphics to its immersive storyline/dialogue are exceptional. The gameplay itself is very creative, bold, and original on the part of the Climax team. Although, how much you'll actually enjoy it will depend on your personal tastes, hence why I'd recommend you at least rent it first before committing to a full purchase.

I dont know if you can say 7.2 is a very good score. for as much detail as they put in this game and the amazing graphics, the game itself is more puzzlefull, you gotta look at it as that not just a fighting game, wich it isnt. Plus this game has never really been done before. A game without guns with monsters? its very intresting. id say atleast an 8 would be more resonaible for this game

I like this game. I only have 2 complaints:

1- It's too short, I beated it in like in 6 hours

2- The chasing scenes where so repetitive I just was bored with them

The use of the flashlight was really cool, and the atmosphere was great, also the uses of the cell and the wiimote to solve puzzles was excellent. I recomend this game but to be a rental, only if you like Silent Hill games so bad and want to get all the ending's then I recomend this game to be a buy,

There are three lairs to silent hill. one normal lair with people in it and nothing weird, one with fire and ash covering all of it. and one cold hellish one with contrasting environments

Its the "Otherworld" As the person said there is three layers but they are the normal town, the town which is manifested from peoples inner self and an empty town. The reason you are used to seeing bloood/rust or fire is because that was the common "Otherworld" which is when the world changes.

In this game the "Otherworld" is ice. If you want a better explanation then check Wikipedia.

On another note this game has very good Wii graphics and I really enjoyed it.

They picked like the worst scores for this game. Even Gamespot gave it an 8.0, and Gametrailers 8.5... The hell with it! I don't care what this video says! Even though most of it it's true.... I ENJOYED the game! At the end, it almost made me cry because it's really sad! Plus, the game has replay value! You can make your own scenario! And the characters change as well!

this game is terrible. i played all the way through it and it JUST... PLAIN... SUCKS. i love the silent hill series (sept the room and homecoming) and this is the worst one ever made.i even tried to like it by pretending it wasn't called "silent hill", and that didn't help, cause it's just an awful game. not scary, puzzles are piss-easy, "nightmare" world is fuckin lame as hell, and the story is just atrocious. if you MUST play it cause it's called silent hill, rent it, don't waste $50.

Most people judge F.E.A.R. by just playing the first intaval. Play the the whole game or at least up to intaval 5 then say it's bad. I have played every F.E.A.R. game there is and I liked all of them.

I really hope this game truely is scary, I haven't been scared since Resident evil gamecube remake came out.

Dead Space and Resident evil 4 n 5 aren't even near scary (obvious for RE 4 n RE5.

I'm glad this game has no combat and forces you to use your wits to escape it truely build tension in a game also if you were a normal civilian who doesn't have physical or fire arms to fight back the only thing you can rely on is figureing a way to avoid enemies of course.

Fighting the monsters turns the games into FPS's where the enemies jump at you suddenly, it's scarier this way.

Having no creepy dark world is going to bug some long time fans of the franchise.

One of the things that set it apart from other haunted towns was just that. Without it, it would have been just another generic creepy town.

And the no-combat thing doesn't make it much scarier. I can count many times in the originals where you will just end up running away, and combat is usually so clunky that it's difficult to use making it scary. Loss of combat will, in my opinion, detract from the gameplay.
