  • i wonder what would have happened if the beatles stayed together? what if they toured with queen?

  • that documentary is very good and thankfully easy to get now at the likes of FYE and Grey Whale1

  • sounds like something in the 20' s, very great song to, good voice and good company

  • I looooooooooooooooooove it !!!! : )

  • estos tios eran unos genios. Gracias, solarrium, por compartirlo, un saludo.

  • Great song,I love it!Brian May is great!

  • The best song Brian ever wrote, and the best lyrics as well.

  • brian eres el mejor...!

  • NO IS NOT, IS freddie mercury

  • @androgineharlequin

This is Brian May who wrote and sang this

  • I love Brian Mays voice, its an awesome song!

  • Gran tema de May.

  • Brilliant. like the sound of the sopran ukulele!

  • I remember reading somewhere that Brian produced this record entirely on his own - and using only guitars! He experimented with dozens of guitars and amps until he managed to get the sounds of percussion, brass, etc, then laid down gawd knows how many tracks, then pieced it all together to make what you hear now. Quite brilliant!

  • Maybe this song, but definitely not the record.

  • Yep - sorry, I meant this track, not the whole album!

  • It was only the brass and stuff like that. Other than that he just used drums, ululeles, and what have you.

  • Brian came up with this track using the guitar as the main instrument, along with a banjo ukelele, the instrumental part at 2:40, was played on the red special was arranged in such a way to resemble a Dixie Land Jazz Band from New Orleans because that is what inspired alot of his arrangements :)

There's a documentary on youtube about the "A Night At The Opera" album in which Brian talks about this song in Pt 4 of the documentary.

  • Buenisima canción de May!

  • Totally an awesome song...they ever do it live?

  • The last part is the finest 40 seconds Brian has ever commited to record. Brilliant.

  • Sad song, always loved it though. Ironically someone I know named Sally died today so that's why I looked for this....

  • when you listen to the lyrics it turns out to be a kinda sad song...i still love this song:)

  • If you didnt know who made this song you would think it might be The Beatles. I've always thought Queen sounded a little like The Beatles, except they are far better musicians in my opinion.

  • yea queen always said they were hugely influenced by the beatles. but in my opinion they are an even better band.

  • Brian can play any stinged insrument:Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, that one guirtar with eight strings, harp, ukalayly-sorry for my crappy spelling, ect.

  • Puts a huge fat grin on my face, what's better than that?

  • totally awesome.
