@dynamicfx Yes it starts slowly, because the real version of the song has solo vocals that start right at the beginning. Check out my music on iTunes, the CD is called "Songs In The Dark".
Thanks again! You can hear more of my original songs on MySpace (I'll send you a message with the link, since YouTube doesn't allow links in comments).
Hey, I don't know if your name is Jennifer, Lindsay, or Music. But I just wanted to let you know that I saw this video on the "Film Composers" youtube group and I love it! I'm also part of that group.
Hi Daniel...haha, very funny. :-) The name is Jennifer Lindsay, and thank you for the kind comments. I just joined that group recently, and I really like the other videos there...speaking of videos, Late Nights is really great! Good to meet you...
I listened to your work....very impressive.even the Nightwish cover was good.but that was not you.THIS IS YOU:)
you better post the entire song.this one is absolutely wonderful:)this is my favorite from your myspace profile:)
please, post it.the whole song is great:)
and trust me,I know what I am saying:)
so,I wish you good luck, great lady:)and congratulations for your apparently simple composition, that tells to a heart more than a orchestral concert, in my opinion.
Great Music...This is the kinda stuff i would like to write. Your sound is very clear, did you mix it yourself? The sounds complement each other well.
Hi Anthony, thanks! Yes I did mix End Of Days myself, though it was painstaking because I actually managed to fry the 2GB of RAM I was working with and had to buy 4GB of new RAM to replace it! Luckily things worked out and I was able to produce a final mix after that...but I was a bit afraid before that! If you're interested, you can find this song with vocals (yes the final version has vocals!) on iTunes. Search for Jennifer Lindsay (album is called Songs In The Dark). Take care!
all this hardship and hard times learning the classical way has merged with a surprizingly stunning contrast from classic structures and new age freedom to finally let us hope that you'll soon add unstructured and little breaks of hasardous music to it as to make the picture complete, UNION FUSION of all WORLDS as ONE, thanks for being here, tell me if you have a MYSPACE and I proudly add it to my friends...
Haha, thanks! I'm thinking seriously about scoring this one over the holidays. Should be a challenge, given that I arranged parts according to the samples I was hearing rather than to what would make most sense via texture, balance and function (which I didn't know about at the time).
What I really like about this song is the juxtaposition of the synth bass sequencer with the strings. Its a very unusual sound, but in a good way. Its memorable. I also love the credits, haha.
Yes, the youtube music community is thriving, apparently. I didn't know this either, I'm fairly new to youtube. Looking forward to hearing more of your work.
wow you musically got it all! u can use music tech / theory and have a great voice ! :D talented combo

I like it! It does start out a bit slow for a while, but I was hooked by about 1:45 when the nice chordal orchestration got going. Good job!

Another quintessentially "orchestratable" piece, Jennifer! Good overture music for your LA Philharmonic debut!
