My understanding is that white truffles have never successfully been cultivated, but black truffles definitely can be. I have friends with farms in North Carolina.

It was told that white truffles can not be farmed.

But I have sucseeded also with the whiteones. In the flower pot. :))

They are "mushroom gold". Exspecially the white Italian truffle. They develop from the spore micelium.

The technology of growing white truffle is secret. The person who know that secret keep the secret for himself.

Ive been doing reserch on truffles and i found out that black truffles are betere for you then white truffles but the white are far rarer than black so the prise is higher for the white truffles. Can you tell me how to grow black truffles? I found out some things a bout it like if you infect a sertin tree like OAK,HICORY,PINES,FIRS,DOUGLAS FIR,HAZELNUTS,HICKORIES,BRICHE­S AND EACALYPTUS with fungie then the truffles will infest the roots of the trees but i dont know how to go a bout it can you-
