  • abe is the man great drummer.

  • Is it ironic this was performed in the Capitalist headquarters of the world? lol

  • i know that paul plays lefted handed, and he's playing lefted handed in this video. that bass guitar is a left handed guitar. i play guitar also. i'm a right handed person and i fret with my left and strum with my right.

  • paul is left handed....why the hell is he holding his gituar righthanded?

  • @TheRavenHerst That's a joke -Right ?

  • @TheRavenHerst Your joking, right? When you play guitar, if you are right handed, you fret with your left and strum with your right. If your are left handed, you fret with your right and strum with your left. You can also tell that he is left handed because the other two guys are holding there guitars differently from him. Most guitarists are right handed, I would be amazed that he found two left handed guitarists to play in his band. and paul isn't dead you idiots.

  • @Char9419 u can switch from right handed to left handed but its very difficult i can play both ways but every1(who is a big beatles fan) knows paul always played left handed ever since i can or any1 can remember

  • @TheRavenHerst Yes, that is correct. Paul has ALWAYS played lefty.

  • @Char9419 I am left handed but I can only play guitar right handed, the same with batting when I used to play baseball. Playing guitar left handed is so difficult!

  • @TheRavenHerst You Know Which One IS PAUL, RIGHT?

  • @xStupeFlix of course i do im not dumb

  • @TheRavenHerst Well, I Am Right Handed, And I Do Almost Everything With My Left Hand Except Write!

  • @TheRavenHerst Well, you think he's playing right-handed! THAT'S pretty dumb, if you ask me!

  • wow he can still sing! amazing!

  • @sushisroxmysox You mean Wiliam Cambell.

  • RUSTY ROCKS! So good for Paul!

  • False Paul...Faul...William Campbell...this is a hoax, a great one but still a hoax.

  • @LizzieBorden09 NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LizzieBorden09 Sorry, but THAT IS Paul McCartney. YOU are the one who has fallen for a hoax, I'm sorry to say.

  • @MaxVoltageNet you do not seem to know the history of the Beatles...so pay attention...Paul McCartney died in a car crash in 1966....enter William Campbell dubbed Faul McCartney by John Lennon....to take his place...that is the hoax...

  • you guys r dumb as hell if you think that paul is alive he dide in 1966 in a car crash and there are so many clues that will lead you to the truth about paul it in every album up from abby road and so on and on every song has something to do with someone being dead and alot of them talk about someond dieing in a car crash so you guys should learn the damn truth about paul not this fake bitch

  • @MEGADETH2030

you're retarded as hell. and the fact that your name is megadeth makes your case even worse. go back to your shitty metal trash you fucknut.

  • @MEGADETH2030 then who is this 'guy' if he's not paul?

  • Not paul why do you think they are playing so up high? so nobody can tell this is the fake.

I still think paul is dead,, RIP Paul

  • @JoshtheFreerunner

then why the hell do they zoom in on his face? dumbass.

  • @KSawyer28 whore

  • RIP Paul. November 1966

  • Angelo's Pizza must be thrilled !

  • i wish i was there :(, its a long train ride away but it would had been worth it

  • seeing... paul... this... summer...

  • 0 dislikes... just how it should be

  • man this has no energy, sorry guys

  • ill probably jynx it, but at this moment there are no dislikes of this video!!!!! Awesome

  • that guy is no Ringo Starr

  • @12fritsch Interesting you should say this, since Ringo didn't play drums on this song when first recorded in 1968.

  • @MegaObserver1 really?

  • @MegaObserver1 Interesting you should say that, as Ringo has played drums to this song more than any individual in history...

  • crowd sucks. compare this to the one in kiev.

  • @IcyScythe prolly muted the crowd while editing the vid

  • is that george harrisons son?

  • How many other billionaires can sing like this?

  • 0 people are... wait, zero dislikes? Youtube finally figured out how to vote!

  • @HellzLilSoldier nope, there are three now :(

  • @HellzLilSoldier yeah but then three idiots decided they wanted to show just how stupid they really are -__-

  • @HellzLilSoldier nope, 3 brainless morons can't tell a thumbs up from a thumbs down

  • how did he keep the same bass for so many years he has to hav copies

  • Tight fucking band.... damn...

  • Paul, I love you babe!

  • @CindyxBooty7838 because you expect shit for the same thing, or maybe its because you should be the one cooking

  • ringo should be in that

  • he's fricken amazing

  • I think its awsome that he can still remember the lyrics after 25 years

  • HE SHOULD HAVE RINGO WITH HIM PLAYING THE DRUMS!!

  • @newmoonamazing22 he can't because Paul played the drums in this song. Ringo was at vacation when they recorded this.

  • @BootyFreak4783 what does that have to do with Sir Paul? o.O

  • More poltical than 'Revolution' by far.

  • @pienivla I always thought of it as a spoof of the Beach Boys & "Surfing USA". The Beatles were banned in the Soviet Union as "decadent Western Music". I saw a PBS special on how Russian students bootlegged tapes of the Beatles, recorded them on old x-rays (flexible & easily hidden) & smuggled them back into the USSR. Some of them were caught & jailed. Luckily, freedom won in the end.

  • God I love Paul!

  • the guy who carries that bass around was probably like FUCK YEA on the first day, piece of music history right there

  • The man can ROCK! wearing purple, pink or turquoise.

  • One of the great bass players of all time

  • is it me.....or is paul the only good one.......

  • @Galrick I hear that

  • HEY LOOK! ITS BILLY SHEARS! :D jk

  • Uh, I've got news for you posters who complain about Ringo and Harrison playing on this song better. You must be young, new Beatles fans.

McCartney played all instruments and sang all of the vocals on the original recording of this song on the White Album. Do your research. The other Beatles were not too thrilled with that, and it opens the album.

Yep, on the original, there was no John, George, or Ringo. Paul played all guitars, bass, piano, drums, and vocals. He overdubbed it all.

  • @takenotice1959 I must also mention that on the original Maybe I'm Amazed from Paul's first solo album, he did the same thing, with a little help from Linda on vocals. On that album, he played all the instruments and vocals. So, he's so multi-talented! But he will admit that bass is still the thing he does best.

  • @takenotice1959 Um, sorry bud, but you should check your facts. While Paul did indeed play drums on this track, John and George played and sang backup vocals. Whoops.

  • @takenotice1959 straight from Wikipedia (and the Mark Lewisohn book 'The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions' -- this is one of two 'White Album' tracks where Ringo walked out and Paul did the drumming -- however John did play bass on Back in the USSR, and also some drumming as did George. Listen to just the bass guitar alone and it doesn't sound like the usual McCartney playing. BTW, not a new fab fan, been one since pre-K when Abbey Road was a new album.

  • About 45 years later since their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show and first visit to the U.S.A. in 1964, and still egregiously outstanding and unmatched band and music! Superb! Long Live the Beatles!

  • I'm beginning t believe the Beatles were a band Paul had before Wings...

  • This is great, I love it ...BUT, and I'm being sincere,if I have any criticism of this, the drumming,;;;he's good, but he ain't RINGO. This guy is strained. Ringo made it flow

  • Paul Mccartney still sounds great

  • damn i didnt even notice the piano player until like the very end of the song and even then i was like hey where the fuck are they gettin that piano from? lulz and btw @KayteeisLuv17 by the time back in the USSR came out on the white album paul was writing most of the parts of his own songs anyway he did the solo for it, he did the drums bc ringo had walked out feeling minimized and unneeded and the true real beauty of music is to appreciate it but also to expiriment, mix it all up!

  • damn i didnt even notice the piano player until like the very end of the song and even then i was like hey where the fuck are they gettin that piano from? lulz

  • If i was McCartney i would have shot that guitar player. That song was written with the Beatles and it was not meant to have that guy playing guitar like that. I know it's the new way of playing the Beatle's music... but it's just not the same. George Harrison must be rolling over in his grave.

    Long live the Beatles.

  • my sister saw the beatles on the 64 tour in miami beach at the orange bowl, i was only 6 yo at the time i couldnt go, damn it

  • I was only eight years old when I first saw the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show and Paul is as good today as he was back then. Simply an amazing musician.

  • How lucky those band members are to be up there with Paul McCartney...to perform with such a legend like Paul would simply be amazing. The crowd from New York should show how much this man is loved and how his music has touched America and the world.

  • is that the exact bass he used with the beatles???

  • its amazing how well he can sound after all those years i am extremely impressed

  • The kid still has it.

  • be nice to see the video but I can't get past the "advertisement"

  • @chilldude2007 It didn't even play an advert for me. :)

  • asian bearded guy = new ringo FTW

  • Okay, I admit, I was a little slow on the up take on this one but I finally got it. Ed Sullivan Theater, ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. Ah, what goes goes around comes around.

  • this was his best concert

  • the drummers about to have a heart attack

  • it's better when ALL the Beatles play it.

  • That "drummer" is Abraham Laboriel's son

  • Also, the drummer reminds me of a rock and roll Buddha

  • He's still. So. Awesome. That isn't the Beatles, though. RIP John and George, and may Ringo and Paul do things like this for many years to come. Love you (:

  • one of my favs to do with my band....The Two of Us

  • seems youtube got blocked out by advertisements.

  • I like how 40 years after the Beatles, Paul McCartney is still cool.

  • @2:58 go, drummer man, go hah

  • Beatles Better.

  • Crap...how do I miss this stuff? I was at work, about two blocks from this.

  • bump

  • anyone else notice his hofner isnt a hollobody?

  • Dude, why are people waving at the camera? If I was there, I would only be paying attention to the God with the bass.

  • I would have killed to see this...

  • I was there when they did this, like 10 feet away and that thing he was playing on was like the length of an average bedroom. It's so so so so much more smaller than what it appears on this video. I mean just look at how far he is from the next person to the other one. It's only the length of 3 people laying down

  • Wow, Paul was like 68 (?) Here and he can still kick the shit outta the pathetic "acts" of today.

  • damn paul is so old but that son of bitch just keeps rocking :D I LOVE THE BEATLES <3

  • beatles songs ftwww

  • that drummer man he was fat but paul rocckKKKKKKKKKkkkkkkks!!

  • Man, those other guys are living the dreams of so many musicians.

  • The crowd seems dead? This is a street concert. The fact that so many otherwise busy people have stopped to hear Paul is amazing!

  • paul shouldve played drums like he originally did in this song

  • The crowd seems kinda dead...

  • How many songs were played?

  • He is only......the BEST. (just leave your politics at home). What an icon!

  • @MICHAELPEERY Agreed! I saw him in Pitt a couple weeks ago and it was the most amazing experience... living legend.

  • That drummer was simply rockin the hell out of that kit. He gived quite a performance as a drummer. He took the songs drum fills and made them even better(: Paul is lucky to have him(:

  • @SpaceTrucker101 He gived quite a performance? You know that's not a word, right?

  • @Intrasolarmusic well my bad. I wasnt thinking..

  • @SpaceTrucker101 Sorry to point it out, I'm just a major grammar Nazi and old habits die hard...Will you forgive me?

  • @Intrasolarmusic haha its cool. it was a dumb mistake i made haha

  • My favorite song =D

  • damn paul sounds as good as he did when he was younger Beatles forever!

  • not the same without george, john and ringo. people may have wished they would have never broke up, but honestly, would they be as popular as they are today if they didn't? i don't think so, they left in their prime they didn't have time to go down any if u know what i mean.

  • @KillswitchJohn I agree, if I will say that they are argueably the only band ever to not have a bad year. They also didnt sell out. They wrote any music they liked, and it was always amazing. I feel like it sealed their legacy, but they still had lots and lots of amazing stuff in them, which is the sad part.

  • If Sir Paul knew How many people admired his drummer...Drummer would be fired.Love Him...But Damn What an Ego!

  • Man Ringo has really let himself go in his old age. i like the goatee though. He can work it

  • @TheKarimDream Your kidding right? Thats NOT Ringo thats his drummer......

  • @TheKarimDream Your kidding right? Thats NOT Ringo thats his drummer......

  • @Wiiman9555555 Wow. really dude. Its a complete joke. Look at that guy. Of course its not ringo. Ringo has the sad droopy eyes look, is white, english, and skinny. He still performs. Wow. I know sarcasm is hard to tell over the internet, but its not hard to see im not serious here...

  • @TheKarimDream haha wow..i feel so freking retarded now.............

  • @TheKarimDream thats not ringo although hes still playing hes just not with paul a lot of the time.

  • Wow ! One day before my birthday; if only I was super aware at the time, I would drag my mums out to take me and stand up there with all those people to see Sir Paul McCartney perform, oh mannnn . Plus, this tops one of my favourite Beatle songs anyhow . . . mm, very good ;D .

  • I was going to complain about the rest of the members being "faceless anymen", but then again they're next to Paul McCartney.

  • I read years ago that this song was in response to the Beach Boys and California Girls. Actually The Beatles were fans of their sound and wanted to pay tribute to them and thus Back In The U.S.S.R. It sure sounds like the Beatles imitating the Beach boys.

  • Paul and the beatles are great , but i just Hate the friggin exagerated theatrics the lead guitarist (not mccartney) are doing. The Beatles never had to shake their heads like retards or overstrum their parts for people to like their songs.

  • I completely agree. The show's about Sir Paul, not who's playing with him.

  • Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums, people. He and Kenny Aronson are just great at what they do ...

  • not a very energetic performance unfortunately. Maybe this is a phony McCartney.

  • @k1171502 Paul is alive- there never was a fake Paul taking over- Paul just isn't that young anymore- he's age 71- it's harder to move around and be as fllexible at that age- plus, Paul is a musician- his music is what matters- not his dance moves. his performance of "Sing The Changes" during this concert was very energetic in fact.

  • oh btbbw the jonas brothers is actually three people and not four like the beetles so they cant make music as powerful and alaberit as the beetles so don't copmare apples to oranges so please pass the peas please.

  • @1StarForEveryone I think you mean "Don't compare apples to bullshit."

  • @1StarForEveryone The Jonas No Talent Flavor Of The Year Brothers couldn't hold a fucking candle to The Beatles even if they had 10 members instead of the pointless 3 singers and a guitar player. Not even Hanson who play guitar, drums, and keyboards as a 3 piece can stack up to The Beatles so stfu please

  • Well he filled up time square 40 years after his peak. I would say he has made a name for himself. LOL. I guess he passed the auditon. LOL

  • Paul wrote this song to express his sympathies toward communism and the soviet regime. Very sad.

  • wow, I am impressed. He seems to almost get short of breathe at times, but for the most part his voice in unchanged.

Oh Paul, I love you. :)

  • I would love for Paul to be like "Hey, remember that time I was in the Beatles?"

  • The J Brothers may be going to heaven, but two of the Beatles are already there.

    R.I.P.

    Harrison and Lennon

  • @ExtreamElliot ay be going to heaven but their terrible music is going straight to hell.

i agree, though, the Beatles are there already.

    RIP john and george.

    Long live Paul McCartney!

  • @ExtreamElliot probably three are already there.

  • @ExtreamElliot u mean the jo bros?

  • @ExtreamElliot the j brothers will not go 2 heaven

  • @1StarForEveryone I agree with ExtreamElliot (R.I.P John & George) and Im pretty sure that at least one of the jonas brothers is going to hell.

  • @1StarForEveryone it doesnt work that way, u have to accept the Lord as you saviour if u dont dat u go to heaven but if your sibling didnt accept she/he will go to hell. and u live only once, no offense r y buddism?

  • McCartney played drums on the Original.

  • @john26660 Yeah. He only played drums because Ringo Starr left the band when they recorded this song at first. John and George both played drums also but in the end they decided to go with Paul's.

  • You are correct, Ringo got tired of always being the one sitting around. However they each didn't play drums all the way through. Aug. 22, 1968 they laid down the first take and it was Paul on drums, George guitar, and John bass. Other drums were added by the others as Paul played different instruments on the track. So actually all the guys had drum parts!

  • @john26660 Oh, thanks!

  • @john26660 ur right cause ringo quited for ashort amount of time and then came back

  • @john26660 becuase Ringo had walked out- it was during the time the Beatles were not getting along very well...although Ringo was the only 1 the other 3 always got along with- and still do.

  • @4FabBEATLES except for like John Lennon...cuz hes dead

  • @footballfreak6464 And George.

  • The Fab Faux, Beatles Tribute Band, sound better now than Mecca does. I recently seen them rip through The White Album in Chicago.

All I can say is that it was an amazing concert, and I'm not even a fan of Tribute Bands.

Mecca should think of hiring them guys as a backing band they are THAT good.

  • @trewsdetroit5 Please don't bring up tribute bands again. I'm sure with all the Beatles tribute bands out there, there are plenty of great ones. But Paul's the original article and they're just wannabes.

The man is 67 here and still rocks. I saw him and this band in concert and they were amazing. Youtube doesn't do them justice.

So don't bring up tribute bands again. Anywhere. Don't even think it.

  • I agree- tributes are a nice idea- it shows people love the music- but they can never compare to the original musicians and bands- Paul is still as good as ever- but his band just isn't the same.

  • How awesome would it be to play with him? Love him! He's still so amazing.
