@zimizi yes you can jailbreak, but i suggest you still use redsnow to jailbreak because it's much easier and better. with redsnow you will also be able to unlock your iphone if you need to by replacing the ipad baseband. check out my latest redsnow video

@smprasse thats because you have tiny umbrella installed, open tiny ubrella, go to avanced tab and uncheck set hots to cydia is the thrid one down

@SAGUliz I would create a folder on the desktop and then put pwnagetool and the other ipsw files in it so then when your jailbreaking it doesn't confuse itself, other than that i'm not quite sure why it's doing that

@droid4lyfe if your just wanting to jailbreak then you can try one of my newer easier 4.2.1 untethered jailbreaks, but if your trying to unlock then try doing the process again but possibly on a another computer.

This is because he is not truthful to people. If you look carefully he is loading iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ip­sw (IOS4.1) instead of iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore­.ipsw (IOS4.2.1)

In order to make custom 4.2.1 FW Custom PwnageTool Bundle needed.

- Enter DFU mode and ALT-Restore my iphone 3g running 4.2.1 from apple with my custom ''merged'' firmware

-Download ultrasn0w from cydia, install and reboot.

@adiltariq123 you can only restore back to 3.1.2 if you saved your shsh files.. give this a try, download tinyumbrella, install it, save your shsh files, start the ts server, open itunes and press shift and click restore (download 3.1.2 ipsw beforehand) . it should work but if it doesn't i don't know what you can do.

@TheJoker7734 i think you can only junp strait to 4.2.1, but be careful if you need to unlock your phone, if you do'n need to unlock go ahead and upgrade but if you do need to unlock don't upgrade from 4.0.1

Thanks a alot for replaying me, but, it didn't work as well. my problem is not the jailbeake. my problem is the unlock. i already jailbreaked on 4.1 bb 5.14.02 i think that IPSW is working on only Mac, whereas i have only windows7..... besid the model is MC or what they called it new bootram which even make it wors and i can not downgrade it. now i had this idea to update to 4.2.1 firmware and try to gailbreak and unlock it but i am not sure if that will make it worse or i will fix it??. @Rakhify you need to download tinyumbrella and save your shsh files, then you can try the jailbreak, and if it doesn't work just start up tinyumbrella, download the original ipsw that you were on, start the ts server and restore your phone back to normal.

But of course that didn't work for me because my phone is in 4.2.1, and I think for this reason when I tried the 4.1 just for kicks the ipad 3.2.2 would not work..
