It's too "expensive" to educate our children to draw, play musical instruments, or even exercise. Instead, the money that should go to these programs often ends up lining the pockets of public school administrators, who neither teach nor interact with students. THe object is to "Dumb DOWN" America so we can keep labor cheap, and our children ignorant. and fat. It's working well.
